Don't listen to him he's just a hater!! Razz

That'd be a wicked cross over except that it would be WAY too much to cope with at first (just on the tunes buying front alone!!).

Your local dealers will be able to help you out with turntables and mixer wise. Start out with a direct drive if you can afford it!! Asides from that you really only need a stereo with an aux input to plug it all into.

You'll need at least three technics 1200's, two
CDJ1000's, a 48 channel neve mixing console,
some sennheiser studio monitor headphones,
a couple of external fx rack units, compressors,
limiters, amps, eq's, loads of bassbins, an
MPC4000, a dual processor 1.25gHz G4
running pro Tools and a practice room
designed by a qualified acoustician. If you want
a good set up you'll have to be prepared to pay
though. A cheap setup like above will only get
you so far.
Oh, and i wouldn't bother getting any of that until
you've got at least 10 crates of vinyl.
I think American DJ do a package deal.

honestly if i c u play all that in one set ima burn ur crate.

LOL @ FRISK!

So much for getting some decent advice in this forum...

X - Personally I'd recommend you get some Direct Drive Technics 1200's or Numark Turntables, but as these are high-end Turntables, and you're only starting out, it might pay to look at some cheaper alternatives. There are plenty of other Direct Drive models around the middle to lower price range, so go down to your local store and do some shopping around.

Mixer wise, Vestax would probably be your best bet, nothing too expensive, just a little 2 channel thing, with a good cross-fader.

..and like Junglist said, don't forget the head-phones.
