Just off the topic a little, but just heard on Te Radio that that the rainfall for the TGA flood events have been finalised and Otumoetai got 239 mm (around that value anyway) in 1hr!!!!

This is the highest amount for 100 years, hence the term once in a hundred year event.

Incidently the mean annual rainfall for TGA will be about 1200 - 1500mm per year.

I hope the cleanup is going Ok and no one from this forum was adversely affected

Tauranga is sweet as...most people are ok - there's about 100 people that had their homes flooded and 13 houses have had to be destroyed...sad.

But enough of this..water flooding leaky stuff
