Caught about 30mins of Ali B and it was a'ight, but he was being a sour faced brat with not even so much as 1/8th of a smile on his face the whole time while chain smoking ciggies...had seen him before and since he was being so boring I knobbed of elsewhere.
Caught about 10 mins of The Egg as that stage was ages behind time. Everyone on ITM is raving about DJ Falcon...he was shit! Played solely of Ableton and didn't even sound like he was doing anything other than hitting play on the next track and it was uber fucking cheesy! You've got so much love to give, eh? I know a place you can stick that, mate!
LTJ and Conrad were supreme as always...funky as fuck beats and amazing vocal treats!
What I caught of Cox was pretty rocking, just couldn't find myself really getting into it on the bank and wasn't about to pack into the main stage so ambled over to SVD and he was really fucking good. Nuts as fuck behind the decks and great tunes!
Wandered here and there, came past GU stage again while Nick Warren was on, wasn't intending on staying as I'd seen him before and would have like to see Josh Wink, but it was fucking going off right there! Absolute blinder of a set, storming prog at its very best and to see him loving it so much (considering he was probably the oldest DJ at the party!) was just brilliant. And dropping The Killers, Mr Brightside towards the end was just gorgeous! Rather over played and slightly dated track now, but fuck it brought some new life back to the dancefloor. Everyone dancing up the front was so in the zone with smiles from ear to ear! CHUR!
But I would have to say that Infusion took it home for me as "Set Of The Day" - fucking amazing!!! So good to see them finally after having been a fan for many many moons. The intensity of their tracks with the energy they have on stage is just magic!
All in all, I fucking loved Future Music Festival!!!
I was actually surprised at how few muzza's I saw! I did only go into the main stage for about 15 mins though so that's possibly why. But when I was down there, looking back up the bank at all those happy people was pretty fucking cool!
Sound systems were great at each stage, lighting was ample but nothing over the top.
Great decor to buzz out on all over the place.
The drink cards are a great idea...so long as you got in to get your cards quick enough as those lines built up pretty swiftly.
And last but by no means least, THE PEOPLE...I danced my ass off with and and talked some cod shite with some fantastic random people...all of you rocked...except the sick fuckers who stabbed people. WTF is up with that, eh? Very sad really.
