Can't believe there has been a good old fashioned shit-slinging session on biggie recently and I fucking missed it. Fuckers! That's what I've been saying we're all missing! Sounds like this Angela character has been doing some PROPPA faget winding innit. Apparently old skool? I don't remember. And for someone talking up their own hotness too? I'm pretty sure I've been fully aware of all the hot biggies over the years. Pretty sure that total still sits in single digits too.

I can't decide if I'm one of the team now and would partake in the backlash, or if I would enjoy the onslaught of unfounded personal attacks.

PFFFFFFFFT people get over that shit. Well most people do. Some people you can get to a bit more easily so they hang onto their online grudges. Heh.

Grain of salt IMO. It's just great to have drama again! If me vs Apex was the worst things got around here it would be pretty boring. That shit gets too one sided you know.

Said it once and I'll say it again... the reason biggie SUCKS these days is cos everyone knows each other...

There used to be mad fights between people/groups of people, sides would be taken, but as time has gone on pretty much everyone has met up, had a beer and realized everyone is pretty sweet IRL, and all of a sudden the trolling isn't taken seriously, everyone gets on, there is less arguments, the drama dies... and hence biggie becomes boring.

But NOW it has struck a new low:

Someone new comes here and starts an argument/insults one biggie regular, and instead of letting it be an argument between 2 people... (we all know Kris B is more that capable of taking care of himself and pwning the fuck outta someone)... all of a sudden mob mentality rules and like a fuckin hundred biggies are like "OMG SHE CALLED KRIS B FAT!!!! MUST DEFEND HIM" and all attack her...

Now this new bright spark/catalyst for drama I assume has been banned, or will never come back... and once again biggie is back to the dullness.

drama should be encouraged.

I'm embarrassed for all of you.

What I don't understand is why you dicks who get off on drama don't just watch a soap operas. I guess it involving real people excites your base appetites more. Bit perverse really.

If the lowest common denominator stuff like that is what makes biggie for you, I'm actually pleased you feel upset to have missed it. I'm pleased it is happening less. With decent moderation I'd expect a majority of it wouldn't have occurred in the first place.

While angela might have stirred things up, it wasn't in a good way, hense the mob-mentality. Spitting out the same lame insults does not a sustained interest make. Er if you get my meaning. Had she gotten a bit creative then maybe it would've been good banter. But tbh it got boring pretty quickly and imho banstick was justified.
[quote]
heh blame the moderators eh. You lot need to learn to look after yourselves. If you dont like what someone says, dont (re) open it, dont defend people who a) should be able to look after themselves b) cant help themselves but take bait c) probably overreacted in the first place.

Further - mods get bitched at for whatever is done or not done and often by people who do/support exactly the same thing they're complaining about others doing. So rather than bitching about lack of moderation (smiley).

TtheHF - have you ever looked at a picture/video/story on the internet that is funny but was probably painful for the person involved? No? Congrats you are probably equivalent to the Dalai Lama. If yes then maybe get off the high and mighty act.

There were certain things in the thread which were suitable for being modded but they seem to be the minority. The rest is about getting pissed off that someone you dont know/like having a go at someone you do who probably doesnt know anything about it (until someone goes and tells them)...

This is the point - why the mob mentality? The reactions could have been - ignore, which meant she didnt have an audience and didnt affect anyone. Or take the piss out of her and not take her or her comments seriously. Instead 'the mob' chose to attack and then like a bunch of school girls complain about it.

No one said, hey look Kris might have over reacted a bit to her first post and she went on the offensive rather than the defensive. Instead more and more people got dragged in and she got more audience and more victims.

Like they say, dont feed the trolls.

Really, its ok to laugh at people because you dont know them. So i guess you have no sympathy for Haiti then? If someone i know trips over and looses some face in front of people but is otherwise fine then i, and i think most other people will laugh. That is all that is happened here. Some people, through partially their own actions have lost some face by getting riles up by silly school yard taunts. I have no doubt some of them are offended but that is an over reaction imo.

For me it was not at all a big deal; act like a cunt, get described as a cunt. A couple of others happened to agree. I actually said fuck all and stuck to my word of stfu'ing until she clearly broke the confidence of someone who trusted her and started talking proper, nasty, seriously hurtful shit about people who weren't there. That was when I got involved again but I wasn't angry and, in the circumstances, I don't think I was being overly sensitive.

Though I will defend my friends, and may be more sensitive to people's feelings than some of you in regard to online behaviour, I was more just calling a cunt a cunt (perhaps not as eloquent as the original saying but you get me :>Wink. Who said anything about hoping people get hurt. Wishing for a good old fashioned flame war is not the same as hoping people get injured. There is a certain unsaid requirement that people who are happy to post their opinions on the internet should make sure they have the maturity to handle people being 'mean'. Thats not to say not caring enough to not be offended but to be able to respond (or not) in a way that is responsible for themselves.

God that sounds a bit wanky. What im trying to say is that you arent the internet police and you should treat your friends like they are responsible for their own actions and have a quiet word with them rather than jumping in publicly and (as someone else put it) fanning the flames.

PS - call me insensitive but supporting my friends includes pointing out when maybe they did something wrong, though usually in private. Maybe its because I used to have a friend who picked fights all the time then came running to us for backup when someone (usually everyone) who was taller than him got offended. Id usually agree with the offended person that my friend was a cunt but a) he wasn't worth it and b) i couldn't stand back. My friend finally worked it out that he had to be responsible for his own actions though it did take a couple of smacks in the head.

Its a good thing I have thick skinned friends I guess.

Anyway - Mods/Admins are not going to spend their time running around fixing up peoples dramas, especially when they should know better. There are lines where we will act but they are seldom what people want from us. I'm not certain if this is an aside in relation to my discussion as the relevance is PRETTY stretched and it does read like a strange, tangential story. Running on the assumption that you are trying to shoe-horn it into being relevant, angela's crazy bintitude was all over the show and didn't seem warrented anywhere; she was carrying on like a crazy cunt who had recently been bounced from NZR and was looking for a new home to shit up, hence the thread. She, without reason, attacked someone who wasn't here, so the 'leaving friends to it to learn their lesson helps them grow' is completely irrelevant.

As for fixing dramas, no, you aren't. But I'm fairly certain at least one of you would have had a look at the thread and must have deemed it not of concern. Which I think is concerning. And tbh I like to think my preferring a nicer environment here without mindless, random personal attacks, which is about all angela seemed to do, is what Mike has always been about.
[quote]
ps. Yes I do realize the irony in that I made some personal attacks due to her general conduct, but I like to think they weren't too mindless or random, and think they would have read as pretty light-hearted to someone prepared to vent the way she was <:

Ok but her attacks were after she was attacked. Maybe I missed some of it. We have moderated her and she's been directly warned. But some other people contributed to the problem. She certainly played nasty bit people should have stopped responding a lot sooner than they did. Attacking people uninvolved was wrong, as was breaking private confidences but that is not a biggie issue.

Jesus.... you broke my trust. And you put someone else on the line. I doubt she needs this posted on a public forum.

When I was at the height of emotional turmoil nearly 2 years ago, yes, I told some people what had gone down between you and me. They would have kept it to themselves and not said a word. Knowing that you and I were now friends, they would have re-evaluated everything. You had the opportunity to make some new friends who are cool.

Things change angela, we all go through phases, you of all people should understand that.

you broke my trust fucker.

you also don't have my back at all.

i told you not to contact me, that includes addressing messages to me in a forum. seriously, fuck off.

ps I'd like you to edit out the suicide comments, not for my sake, everyone knows now that I told you that. But because it's NOT something to go on a pubic forum.
