Yes, the rumours are true - FTM is back! Make sure to bring your balloons and
party hats because we’ll be celebrating our first phenomenal birthday this July! While
you’re probably wondering how we can top the last incredible FTM party we’ll be
preparing our NEW VENUE so that we can get more party goers, music lovers and dance
floor fanatics along to an incredible experience that will leave you wanting more!

FTM will bring you Electro, Breaks, Bassline, Dubstep, House, Nu Rave, Techno and of
course Drum & Bass from some of the best NZ and international DJ’s. Delivered to you
across one of the most incredible sound systems engineered on our shores at Zen and Fu.
Enjoy two rooms of massive club crazy tunes, inside our new large superclub standard
venue in Auckland – allowing you to invite your sweet self in for the one of the best
nights this year, and we’ll do it so cheap that you can bring all your friends along to
witness something spectacular.

It is our passion to bring you this sensational musical event for only $5. Yes we're
getting the most amazing venue decked out with decor. We'll be cranking an incredible
sound system with a phenomenal range of music brought to you by a quality DJ lineup.
This will be a true non-stop party from start to finish, we have been astounded with the

Yuhei Kubo (CHCH) - Electro / Drum'n'Bass // Cosmonote Blue Recs

Yuhei Kubo has always been passionate about music from a young age. He has always had an
eclectic view when it comes to genres. Being brought up through the nineties, he is
heavily influenced from music in that era, whether it be rock, dub, punk, ska, hip-hop
or any type of electronica, he always found influence in good music.

Yuhei’s interest in Djing started at the early age of sixteen. Now at the age of twenty
two, he has supported acts like Kid Kenobi, Freestylers, Greg Churchill, Nick Sentience,
Phill Reynolds and Precision cuts to name a few. Yuhei has played all across New
Zealand. Dunedin, Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington. Having only three years of
experience at producing, he has already remixed one of New Zealand’s best producers Greg
Churchill’s tracks “Mulcha” and “Clown Punch”, a remix for Steve Blake (UK) called “My
Rules” and a remix for Filthy Rich "Are We Alone". You can find these tracks on Labels
like “Gung-Ho, Cosmonote Blue, Fevah and Southern Cross Records.”

He is already getting international plays in countries like USA, Australia and even
Brazil have taken a liking to Yuhei’s tracks. He is also one of the suspects responsible
for the long running “Dirty Habit” parties in Christchurch at the Capital Bar. Dirty
Habit caters Christchurch with the freshest and dirtiest side of house, electro, breaks
and Techno. The Dirty Habit residents are Ryan, Toby B, Fil Alexander, Jared Kelly and
Yuhei Kubo.

Luke Versalko, Steve Oxton and Mason Freehan are a collective you will not want to miss!
Only just over year ago these three remarkable deejays where trying to get there hands
on some professional equipment to help with their addiction to music.

Luke Versalko was the 2008 Superstar DJ Winner and has played sets at FTM, Our:House,
and a load of other huge gigs. Mason Feehan has always been facinated with music from an
early age, he was set on performing and making crowds go nuts - You could imagine his
reaction to deejaying. After playing for only just under a year, Steve Oxton has a sound
that has been carefully crafted to suit any crowd. A select combo of cut up, glitchy
bangers from all over the world which is sure to bring you a massive diverse range from
this madman.

Now, these three acts come together just for FTM to forge one breath taking act that
will have you gasping for more. If you came along to the last FTM, you surely will
recognize these guys, they have some treats in store for you!

Joe.B & Coryk - Electro / Breaks / Dubstep // Union

If you have seen Joe.B and CoreyK play by now you will know that these two give a new
meaning to exciting a crowd. These two Djs have come through strongly in the last year
playing in New Zealand’s best clubs and finest events on a weekly basis. After meeting
by chance while both playing at the same events the two decided to give playing B2B a go
and never looked back. Joe and Corey have a diverse mix of Electro, Fidget house,
Dubstep and Drum & Bass with lots of live scratching and hip hop influenced songs, they
possess a unique style and sound that gets the crowd going every time.

In The last year Joe and Corey have played at a ton of different events such as Slinky,
Ministry Of Sound, Our House, Chemistry, The Big Club Night Out, Oxygen, Warriors,
Summer Nights, Stereo Days, and has supported over twenty international acts from
various international brands such as Booka Shade, The Aston Shuffle, Sinden, Fake Blood,
Act Yo Age, Ryan Riback, Steve Hill, K90, Andy Farley and Nick sentence just to name a
few.

These guys are a charismatic duo who never fail to entertain. Joe and Corey are
constantly pushing the sound boundaries of their chosen genre’s to create something
different and unique that audiences appreciate and enjoy. Get ready for a huge 2009 with

Charlie B & MC Billy Fluid - Drum'n'Bass / Dubstep // Optimus Gryme Recs

Charlie B aka OPTIMUS GRYME is a self taught producer who has been tapping away on beats
for just over a decade. In 1998 Charlie started experimenting with trip hop and breaks,
but it was his love for cutting edge breakbeats and massive basslines that drew Charlie
into the world of drum and bass in 1999. Since then Charlie has immersed himself in all
things Phat! Charlie has a unique drive and passion for beats. He has truly dedicated his
life to music, and given all he has done over the past 10 years, there is no doubt that
he does it all for the love.

Billy was born in Auckland(Tamaki Makarau) in 1984 in New Zealand Aotearoa). First
starting off freestyling walking around Waiheke Island as a way to vent frustrations
growing up. Later formed a group TAOS with Kris Lequeta, Davey Walters and Anthony Milas.
Which was a completely improv band, from the music to the ryhmes. Also made a group with
Charlie B aka Optimus Gryme called Serenity. Later teaming up with Scratch 22 and Legal
money Mike to become part of The Unscene. From Rocking crowds from small Waiheke gigs to
‘groove in the park’ and ‘deep hard and funky’ performing alongside Aotearoa Drum And Bass
Royalty like Concord Dawn and Shapeshifter, to playing alongside legends in the Drum and
Bass realm like Bulletproof, Riddle and Tiki Tane billy has always keep it ‘live’ and true
to the environment he lives in… and since ‘he’ is me, I promise Ima keep doin so. Big Up
Waiheke… meke aroha to Omaio and Hariki and all the whanau and friends who support what I
do.

Static - Drum'n'Bass / Dubstep // The Mashup Mafia
===========================================

A product of the Wellington drum and bass scene Static made the move to Auckland mid
2007 and announced his arrival in the scene by taking out the Auckland heats of Rumble
In The Jungle. Not content with just using 2 decks his smooth mixing on anything up to 4
decks then saw him place 2nd in the national finals.

2008 was a busy year for Static. Supporting a host of top International DJs including
TC, Logistics, Brookes Brothers, Futurebound and Danny Byrd. It was also a year that saw
him team up with Aphid and Popcod to form the basis of the ever impressive Mashup Mafia.
As a group they push the boundaries of DJing, utilizing vinyl, CDs, a pair of laptops,
wii remotes and other midi controllers as well as crazy antics and immense energy behind
the decks to provide one of the most sort after live performances in the Auckland drum
and bass scene.

Solo Static also picked up a number of accolades in 2008, including another 2nd placing
in the nationals of Rumble In The Jungle and a nomination for Best DJ in the NZrave
awards. Moving into the Studio now to work on tunes under the Mashup Mafia moniker 2009
has a lot more to come from Static!

Grind - Drum'n'Bass / Dubstep // Lead The Way

DJ GRIND has forged an impressive reputation as a DJ in Auckland, his ear for the music
and turntable prowess showing through in one of the most notoriously difficult scenes to
break into. Priding himself on forward thinking beats with soul, his style is a lesson
in building a vibe and making people dance. Having risen to the top of two bass genres
in drum and bass and dubstep, Grind has truly made a mark on the local scene.

In the world of drum and bass, Grind's deep and versatile style has seen him support the
likes of top international artists such as Alix Perez & Lynx, Bad Company & Fierce,
Commix, LTJ BukeM & MC Conrad, Cyantific & Logistics, Black Sun Empire, TC, Pendulum,
The Upbeats, Concord Dawn and many more. Through playing local club nights Tech Support,
Liquid Recreation & Your Sound, Grind has made Fu/Zen his home in clubland whilst also
appearing regularly at some of Auckland's other famous night-spots - Rakinos, Khuja
Lounge, Coherant, Galatos, 4.20 and Rising Sun, in addition to world-class clubs Bath St
(Dunedin) and Subculture (Queenstown).

Grind has cemented himself as one of NZ's champion Dubstep DJs ever since appearing at
the first official 100% dubstep party in Auckland, Sub Riot. Representing Dirtycash &
Beat Merchants, he's smashed up big crowds alongside heavyweight internationals Benga,
Caspa, N-Type, Loefah, Digital Mystics, Tes La Rok, Distance and Pinch, the first
international artist brought to NZ by Dubstep Alliance. Grind rates being asked to play
back-to-back by Mala himself as an all-time DJing honour and highlight. As one of the
first local DJs to showcase the dubstep sound he earnt support slots for breakbeat
superstars Tayo, Meat Katie and Skool of Thought.
