LadyHawke - Delerium.

2: Whats your favourite Kiwi act/dj etc?
Obi-Wan

3: Whats the best kiwi gig you've been to? Why?
SummerDayze at the convention centre. Soooooo good. but way too many awesome dance parties i've been to to decide really.

Probably one of the many "international" DJ gigs i went to which only sold 1 or 200 tickets and was shit.

5: Whats the best venue in NZ and why?
St James - because layout wise and size it is still in the top 3 venues i've been to around the world. And i have soooo many ridiculous memories from there, and have met so many cool people in that place. Sad

6: What Kiwi act/dj would you give to Australia? Why?
Sample G - because he's arrogant and i know australia hate him.

Yes.

8: What kiwi act/dj would you bring back if you could?
Obi-Wan

9: Whats the best way to listen to music? why?
Necking 'ílls on the dance floor?

10: Who would win in a fight between Mikey Havoc and Jordon Luck? (prison rules)
Having met both of them plently of times while they have been blind drunk, and seeing JL in a fight. I would go with JL personally.

Top Twins. Why not?

7: Do you play music yourself? If no, would you like to?
No. No.

8: What kiwi act/dj would you bring back if you could?

In a nice room, with a nice Hi Fi, a big fatty, and at comfortable levels.

10: Who would win in a fight between Mikey Havoc and Jordon Luck? (prison rules)

Id would go with Jordon due to athleticism, but I reckon Havo would pull out the a spoon shank and gut him after throwing dust in his eyes.

2: Whats your favourite Kiwi act/dj etc? Act - Crowded House (yes, they are kiwi). DJ/Band - Antiform Razz

8: What kiwi act/dj would you bring back if you could? There was a band I loved in High School called Pushkin, they were some guys from Wellington and their music was awesome. I had a tape, but it got stolen and I would love to be able to listen to them again

10: Who would win in a fight between Mikey Havoc and Jordon Luck? (prison rules) Jordan Luck

1: Whats your favourite Kiwi Song?

Bitter by Shihad comes to mind but no doubt I'll think of 100s of others today, anyone remember Pumpkinhead Narc?

2: Whats your favourite Kiwi act/dj etc?

When I was a teenager heading to gigs all the time I was al about Nothing At All, Shihad will always hold a special place as well. DJ wise pre-Aural Gash Churchill or Philippa

3: Whats the best kiwi gig you've been to? Why?

BDO 96 was ace, lots of awesome ones at the Powerstation as a teenager, the first Roger Sanchez @ St James, the Biggie Brain at Staircase

4: Whats the worst kiwi gig you've been to? why?

Slinky at Alex Park comfortably (or uncomfortably as the case was)

5: Whats the best venue in NZ and why?

Rock the Powerstation, dance the St James - Lakeside was agood too but it was more about the random novelty it wasn't particualrly well set up for a dance party despite there being some great parties there

6: What Kiwi act/dj would you give to Australia? Why?

Elemeno P

7: Do you play music yourself? If no, would you like to?

Yes, no

8: What kiwi act/dj would you bring back if you could?

Ange

9: Whats the best way to listen to music? why?

Above the crowd - crowdsurfing

10: Who would win in a fight between Mikey Havoc and Jordon Luck? (prison rules)

Jordan Luck, he's proper rock n roll whereas just doesn't put the effort in
[quote]
PumpkinHead!!
[quote]
Actually it's definitely Bitter, just listened to it again and the bridge between the 2nd chorus and breakdown is actually one of the finest riffs ever written, just fucking POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2:30 mark here:

[quote]
Actually I can remember in about 2003 at a BDO Shihad announced they were playing this and me and one other person on the other sid eof the mosh pit cheered. All the kids just looked confused.
[quote]
Ive never really liked Shihads music, but I have maaaaasive respect for them as a band and the fact they've kept doing what they do. (if we disregard the Pacifier stage) Oddly enough, the song Pacifier is prob my fave Shihad tune.
Jon was quoted saying Master of Puppets was the album that changed his life. A couple of extra points for that!
[quote]
[quote]
This one was better, there seemed to have been some thought put in to this one.

[quote]
Ha ha, this is even better!
Ricky Morris in a Batman shirt, and Havo's pelvic thrusting!!

[quote]
Too many questions.. Sad

1: Whats your favourite Kiwi Song?

2: Whats your favourite Kiwi act/dj etc?
Shihad. Noty going to touch DJ's, way too many.

3: Whats the best kiwi gig you've been to? Why?
bFM Private function at the Town Hall a few years ago - Shapeshifter, Salmonella Dub, Shihad. Because it was sick, and was the first time I'd seen Shapeshifter (this was in the pre-PDiggs days, same with Salmonella, pre-Tiki). Also the R&V I went to, the last one before it went multi-night. Kora and Shapeshifter b2b over the midnight slot, STUNNING set from Sola Rosa with Spikey Tee just before sunset, awesome James Brown tributes all gig (Sola Rosa did the best), AWESOME acid.

4: Whats the worst kiwi gig you've been to? why?
Some shonky gig my mates girlfriend made us go to way the fuck in....I don't know, Papakura or Papatoetoe or some shit, with Dead Flowers and the Feelers. Neutral Why? Because FEELERS. On the plus, she had won the tix from Channel Z or something, and when she picked them up, they gave her like 10 tix for a gig the next night at the Powerstation with Voom (I think), Regurgitator and TISIM. So that was fucking awesome.

5: Whats the best venue in NZ and why?
I guess I have to go with the crowd on St James and Lakeside. Lakeside had the awesome indoor-outdoor combination, St James has the mean gigs and the muntfest memories, and for all its flaws was still awesome. However I think Coast and the Civic Wintergarden deserve mentions. Coast was an AWESOME space. Wintergarden is a beautiful space full of mystery.

6: What Kiwi act/dj would you give to Australia? Why?
The Feelers. In fact no, I don't think I could even do that to Australia. Just fucking stick 'em on a leaky boat. Dane Rumble I guess?

7: Do you play music yourself? If no, would you like to?
No (not counting DJ'ing) and yes. All my younger siblings got made to learn an instrument, I didn't because I was too busy with sport. Stupid parents.

8: What kiwi act/dj would you bring back if you could?
House of Downtown, Weta, Cuba & Gizmo, Hasselhoff Experiment.

9: Whats the best way to listen to music? why?
FUCKING LOUD, live, or in a primo set of cans.

10: Who would win in a fight between Mikey Havoc and Jordon Luck? (prison rules)
Is Havoc high on the pipe and Luck pissed on prison hooch? This is important to the outcome.
[quote]
Eeewww The Dead Flowers and The Feelers.....you poor fucker.
[quote]
Ohh I think I want to change my answer to Shihad - Home Again for fave NZ song.

I'd say The Road House in Papakura. I saw Shihad there when a mates band was opening up for them. Was pretty epic to see them is such an intimate location tbh.

Like the q's, will answer them later on when I have some more time. :>
[quote]
Yeah, I cant think of any venue in Papatoe that would play rock bands. Has to be the Roadie.
[quote]
they weren't playing rock it was a Feelers gig FFS
[quote]
Laughing True, but Dead Flowers were there too.
[quote]
Looking at street view says......maybe, but I don't think so. So long ago.

If people in the crowd were calling out "play some sabbath" then it was kura.
