Less than three weeks til Bahrain...

How you think Ferrari / Massa will fare?

BMW Sauber and Red Bull will be the ones to watch imo this year...

And who will be the new backmarkers? the Japanese team or MFM ?

Ha ha.. that's their motto almost.

I'd say Renault will get a big lead in the early part of the season when McLaren and the Bridgestone runners are coming to grips (get it?).

Redbull's main team will suprise many. I hear Adrian Newey has been working overtime on the performance of the car specifically tailored towards the less powerful engines. (And I know DC will be loving the less powerful engines.. massively reduces the chances of having a pointy car)

Mcclaren fast but unreliable
redbull consistent but lucky to win a race
renault to start strong but be caught up and swallowed by other teams
ferrari to start slow but make massive progress to be followed by claims of cheating from other teams Very Happy
middle of the field highly contested and best part of race to watch

lots of races where a clear winner is decided early in race however championship to be close overall.. any points in every race will go a long way

Ferrari......michael.....WC#8 Very Happy
Massa I expect will be up and down, with a few knocks along the way.

Honda will be superfast at some circuits but I still cant see that elusive first win yet.

Toyota are going to make their mark this year for sure, you can see a few podiums, if not, a win. you would hope so with their spend.

Williams will surprise at a few races, I cant wait to see what nico rosberg can do with the ford v8. testing looks promising compared to last year.

RBR should start well then fall off as the season progresses as they did last year.

BMW will initially struggle as saubers car last year wasnt their best so the foundation is quite weak to start from.

Mclaren will have a year of smoking engines and pissed off drivers, expect a tanty or two from kimi if things go bad as they surely will.

Midland will have a year of "so this is what owning a back marker team in f1 is like" but the toyota engine should help push them into the midfield occasionally.

Toro rosso will at last, not be the perenial back markers they have been for the last 2 decades with the addition of aguri suzuki to the grid, 9 seconds off the pace at your first test is not very promising. Neutral

roll on march 12th Very Happy

Everyone seems to have it right on here.

Ferrari - If they can sort the new car out will challenge again.
Mclaren - Will be quick but the grenade (oops I mean Engine) will blow up in too many races to challenge realistically for the titles.
Renault - Should be strong despite Nando leaving and rumours they will pull out after this year.
Honda - New car looks like a lego set gone wrong but has proved fast in testing, look for another 2004 year pace wise.
Red Bull - Could upset a lot of people near the top this year, specially with AN working hard there this year, interesting to see what next years car looks like with him at the helm.
Toyota - Should be as competitive as they were late last year, Mike Gascoigne's input should really start to show now, and their engines (just like their road cars) never seem to die.
MF1 - Hopefully the russian money can improve the old jordon, though they seem to be quite tight on the purse strings at present.
STR - Be interesting to see how their V10 goes this year, could prove to be a big advantage running that, though their drivers are not all that.
Super Aguri - Going to be a long long year, may cause a few accidents they are so slow at present, but with some investment could really catch up next year.

Going to be a bloody good year to watch.

Hopefully sky can provide us with more coverage than tv1 did.
