Finding somewhere decent to live

Is it really that hard ?
Me and my bird are looking at moving into a place around the 15th of october.

We are hoping to pay $170 per week.

We would like
Ensuite, with gym and secure complex within zone 1,2
Preferr Docklands, Canary... however we are definately open to other areas.
Or prefer direct central line, piccadily.

Are we looking to early, or are we being to picky >?
Do we need to up our budget ?

Do you have a room like this going ?

I wouldnt say its hard finding somewhere decent to live, but I think most of the london members would agree, finding the right place to live where you are comfortable always requires some preparation and patience.

With your living requirements you mentioned, I think you may need to dig a little deeper into your wallet to afford those luxuries when living in the capital.

Get on the net and do some research. Phone some agencies and get an idea for prices.
Now is a good time to get things moving.
Here is always a good place to ask, like your've done.

The Picadilly and Central lines are ideal, but then again, it depends on where you are located on these lines.

I don't think you are looking too early - people advertise a month in advance. I would have thought £170 could get you somewhere nice if you are prepared to flat share. I live in Canary Wharf myself but hopefully not for much longer.

If anyone know's anyone who is looking for a flatmate (preferably with 2-3 other kiwis or aussies) could you please send me a PM. I am open to areas and will pay £100-£130 per week.
