Yeah somewhat surprised reading this in the rag today, figured he was off to the northern hemisphere but to the REDS!! come on!!

He more than likely new his time was done with the AB's
[quote]
Ive never liked Braid, he even LOOKS like a traitor
[quote]
Certainly an unusual move but he'll probably get at least a couple of hundred thousand dollars more + get to live in Queensland.

Some people don't need the mega, mega dollars but could certainly do with a couple of hundred thousand dollars more each year?

Meh, plenty of talent coming through the ranks. Pity to lose his experience though.

Blues going to be looking average to say the least. Although their new strip looks good. I've had a first looksie. Very Happy

And in Auckland, this is what really matters :>

lol PFunk. So true

Blues are going to have a pretty formidable forward pack, its halfback and number 10 that concerns me. Gopperth was terrible for Harbour, Munroe aint shite so I guess that leaves

TASEA LAVEA

Music

And the "fearless" Wingnut.

Though Rattue likes him, which can't be good :-/

Pretty sure he is in the chiefs squad isnt he? Playing for Counties and all

Oddly, Lavea leaves and Auckland sucks.

Perhaps I know more about rugby than people give me credit for.
[quote]
Lavea himself told the media he was leaving Chiefs for the Blues Smile

I think you know a great deal about rugby vadz, but you also have some strange ideas that I believe are a byproduct of your fanatism and/or your pseudo homo erotic devotion to certain players, as apposed to evidence of some kind of super expertise Razz

I know a winner when I see one :>

Americans understand that what matters aren't gaudy stats, but wins.

i didnt think you could play in a province sub union and then play for a different franchise unless you were drafted or let go from the said franchise?

Not that it matters a whole lot, he seems to spend alot of time injured Froggy

You could be right Tucks, Im just going off what Rattue wrote where Lavea apparently announced to the media himself he was off to the Blues. I assume he *correctly* figures it would be easier to get past Munroe and Goopparth than Steven Donald. Although Im not sure if he has been approved for switching, but Im guessing common sense will prevail and if the Blues want him someone will pull the right strings somewhere
[quote]
Hes a fucking liability! Mad
[quote]
Im not exactly a huge fan either but I would rather see him there than Jimmy, who isnt up to it or Lachie, who is too green

imo

Plus we can rail Laveas azz and mock vadz for the season :>
[quote]
Haha... true.

Lolz, my coach is urging me to play 1st 5/8 next season... Fishy

heh, my time in the USA says otherwise. They are stat hungry fiends. Its all about assists, blocks, carries, yards thrown. Fuck they even give out awards for "most yards thrown.." and 80%+ of the time, it doesn't go to the quarterback with a superbowl ring.
Yanks get hard-ons over stats.

Well I read sportsillustrated all the time

And for YEARS tom brady was behind a lot of QBs in yards, completion percentage etc, TDs thrown
but he had 3 superbowl rings, and thats what counted

same with Vince Young (until this year)

Wins matter.
[quote]
Also, Matt Ryan was the first QB picked, and not because hsi completion % was high... because he was a noted "clutch player" who made passes when it counted

Again, I dispute it.

A-Rod has an amazing hitting record, but people constantly criticise him for choking when it counts.

Kurt Warner threw for almost 500 yards a couple weeks ago and everybody criticised him.

Eli Manning won a Superbowl last year with shit stats, and is a hero
