Female House DJ's wanted

I would like to put on an all female DJ house night in the new year and looking for female DJ's.

Are you saying putting on an all female DJ lineup is sexist? There have been parties like that before. I'm just trying to get the female DJ talent out because Wellington really lacks it.

There was Cheeky Chicks in Welly which was a Hard House all female DJ party that Tania M and I did (and Tania M continues to still do in Auckland).

Is Hard House considered House?

It's a style of house but not my style. I'm more into funky house, but I would consider putting on a night with all genres of house if we don't get the numbers for funky house female DJ's.

I reckon there is talent out there. Some people don't have the confidence to play out, I didn't until I met Miss Robyn and played out with her, we had heaps of fun playing out together, having someone else there with you and playing B2B with made it heaps of fun I couldn't wait to play out again after that. I would like to get something going on a monthly basis - doesn't always have to be female but thought I'd try that one first. I have never put a party on and want to give it a go. You don't know until you try right?

I have messaged her on here. So we'll see what happens, I think it will be great if it gets going.

I went on a boat party in the Harbour a couple of weeks back. Some guys called Funk Brothers Inc hired hte Dom post ferry, it went off about 50 people 8 to midnight...really cool!! We pulled up near Somes Island and it was a perfect evening, check out photos on my facebook.
