Was it a rock band? Cos if it was they did a remake of the Che Fu song. Apparently its quite good but alas don't hear NZ stuff often around these neck of the woods

Yeah Moka Only has a nice solo album, quite old but dope all the same...the new album codename scorpion has heaps of nice tracks. Both the Swollen Member albums are good too. I have only recently discovered all this stuff and I am loving it. There is no 'niger, fuck, niger....' lyrics it is all shit that makes you think....check it out cuz

Firstly to acornm, isn't Ex girlfriend by Gang starr?
secondly definitely one of the best hip hop songs with not only meaning but AWESOME lyrics covering a range of issues from personal journeys we all take in our lifetimes to the pressures of school and work in order to suceed. Plus the awesome chorus with a punchy bass line later on in the song has to make "Things fall apart" by the Roots one of the best hip hop songs of all time... and Erykah Badu rocks.
