Following on from the Cullinan ass raping by Warnie...

From close to home, Bond got Ponting out twice as much as any other player. He dissmissed Ponting 6 times and the next most frequent was 3.
[quote]
Whoops, meant to add: But seeing as Bond was such a softie, their rivalry never made good tv, like for example... Warnie and Arjuna Runatunga.

What's your favs?

ponting bond is nothing compared to sighn vs pointing
[quote]
also, vaas has dismissed him 6 times and afridi has dismissed him 7 times, bond totally owns tho on dismissals to games ratio

Miandad was being his usual asshat self............. standing out of crease inviting shys at the stumps to get overthrows /chipping at fielders etc. Lillee has had enough and suddenly while walking back to his mark decides to just gave Maindad a big boot up the arse!! Laughing Miandad waves bat. etc
[quote]
Harbijan vs Ponting def my fave at the mo.
Lillee vs Javed Miandad

Matthew Bell vs J Srinath is an odd one, dismissed 5 times in tests for an average of 1 against him lol.

Atherton vs McGrath.

Just thought I'd start off with something close to home. Smile

Vettori and Symonds is always a good watch. Not so much for the fireworks but the psychological game those two play is quite intense.

Alan Donald was always a fiery character, did he ever have any great rivalries?
[quote]
I do remember him developing a quite awesome rivalry with Mike Atherton.

He had some choice words for the Englishman over teh course of the final day of one test when Atherton and teh keeper Jack Russell batted out the whole day for a gutsy draw.

I used to love watching Donald getting pissed off... I remember in a one-day tournament in Kenya (the one where Afridi smashed the quickest 100) the stump mike caught him dropping some epic f-bombs while the batsmen made him wait to bowl Laughing

another one is vaas vs flemming,

although that's not really great to watch. it was just kinda sad

Alan Donald was a favourite of mine as well, hence me asking.

Yeah... Vaas made a monkey out of quite a few NZ batsmen. He could swing a ball like Wasim Akram on his day, Vaas. Vaastly (Razz) underrated imo.

We can't forget Graeme Smith and Warney. Very Happy

Smith did reasonably well against Warne compared to how he went against Lee and McGarth... He had that horror season in AUS couple of years back where he usually didn't even make it past the opening bowlers...
[quote]
yeah, just looking at the stats

he averaged a massive 10 against warne, compared to a lowly 4 against McGrath and 6.5 against lee
[quote]
Bradman: Average 99

vs Larwood: 56

pwned.
