For new places, Monsoon Poon is fantastic - thai/vietnamese - more a tour around asia as they put it. It\'s opposite One Red Dog. Had a brill butter chicken and red thai chicken curry there and other yumm stuff like eggplant dish, squid, satays - all yum. Allen st i think?

I\'m with Thumbs Up on Satay Village! That place rocks for a top meal on the cheap.

Otherwise, Tolsi on Cuba is the best curry place in Wellington, sports cafe may suck of a friday/sat night, but head down there on a weekday for the best $12 lunch in town. I recommend the steak.

Worst one I ever had was after a cocktail party & then switching to beer at 2 in the morning, and shots at 3am.

Was vomiting from 9:30am to 4:00pm. Looked pale as a dead dude. Dam, sometimes a hangover can be so bad you wish you\'d chocked on your vomit the night before so you didn\'t have to wake up eh?

Original Thai in Island bay is great. Although it isn't a restaurant Pizza Pomodoro makes easily the best pizzas I have ever tasted. Nothing else comes close. Diva is also pretty damn good, although some times it can be a bit too much of a bar.

Shish Mahal for indian....it's on the corner of Victoria St and Manner's St, upstairs...damn yummy curry, cheap as fuck, lots of room...and then only a short stagger to Curve Bar/Studionine/Phoenix.
