Facebook, script errors, and hard drive heavy lifting

For the last few days, Facebook on Firefox has been a fucking nightmare. Script errors followed by the computer hanging; usually need to end process for Firefox.

Odd thing is this: looking at task manager, there doesn't seem to be heavy CPU or page file usage even though the computer is churning away (hard drive sounds) when these facebook errors occur.

Any ideas where the fuck to even start looking? Googling 'facebook script errors' isn't exactly an easy start.

Looks like all you so-called techies are actually noobs who know nothing eh!! Solve my godamned problem.

try it with ie6/7 and if it runs ok uninstall firefox and reinstall.

I'm getting it too. Seems to be an unresponsive facebook script. Fucken annoying like

symptoms include 4 trillion svchost processes

Just had someone else complaining about this, seems it's an issue on FB's end, based on changes they have made to the way the pages load.

I have had the same issue past few days. It's a real pain. I thought it possibly was a firefox issue seeing as mine updated to version 3 (I think) around the same time. Hopefully whoevers issue it is,it gets fixed soon...

Specifically it's seems to be since Firefox 3.0.9 update was pushed out.

3.0.10 was pushed today, give it a go and see if that fixes your issues. I never had them so I can't tell.

BTW i'm using a macbook, not sure if this makes any difference. What about you other guys that were having probs?

I know two who were having the issue on PC (Vadz and mabee) and one on a macbook too.

Yeah I'm on a MacBook. Had it a few times today as well.
