yay yeah

gonna watch both but not live

got up this morning to watch the Arsenal game. I have to wonder if we would have won if we weren't playing our reserve keeper. Fabianski made some horrible errors.
[quote]
Yeah Drogba is like kryptonite to Arsenal... Fabianski had a shocker though.
[quote]
great game for the neutral again

Fabianski should have his name changed, he's not so fab as a keeper, Arsenal need to challenge the CL now as their 4th place league position looks safe, so that could be bad news for United.

tomorrow's game should be another cracker Music

Bring it on.

Also, don't quote me on this but I have the funny feeling it's the top three that get automatic CL qualifying spots this season so Arsenal still have something to play for in the league and have quite a bumper finish to season with games against Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd still to come (in that order I think)

Also, I'm not sure winning/loosing would make that much difference for their CL prep anyway, professionals always want to win and the FA Cup Final is the last game of the season so it's hardly going to fatigue them for the CL.

Correct, they had an excellent chance.

clear penalty not given, i hold Moyes responsible for his little outburst over RIley being in charge (is he facing anything for that??)

Pienaar must only have 1 leg, coz he couldnt stand the hole match.

tim howard is a cunt.

cahill is a tosser.

fellaini was lucky not to be sent off and i want to smack him one.

united lacked fire power - simple.

the pitch was a disgrace

wtf was rio taking a penalty Mad

If it was Jagielka on Welbeck you can see in the replays when you slow it down there isn't any contact though it's a very well played dive. He does the whole Ronaldo trip over your own foot thing so it looks quite convincing; Ronnie must've been giving the young lads classes Wink

Pienaar's a cunt tho isn't he? Mother fucker spent more time flopping around on the floor than the entire squad did against us and they killed a good 10 minutes at Stamford by my count ^_^

yes clear penalty, fuck you Jagielka! and fuck you too Riley, who was pretty close to the incident, Fergie was incensed!

Our PK shootout was a forgettable one, I can't believe Berbatov's penalty, he practically just passed it to the keeper Rolling Eyes

Rio was taking the penalty cos there was no one else, Vidic's penalty looks shaky and went in, Fergie's team selection back fired! Sad

Crying or Very sad

The penalty is a little debatable, he had his hands on his shoulders but I couldn't see much contact on the legs.
It might not be as debatable as I think as even Moyes did say he felt it was a penalty:
http://tvnz.co.nz/football-news/man-united-lament-missed-chance-2657951

I do find it hard to complain about a penalty appeal when we missed two in the shootout.
It's one that I wouldn't bat an eyelid if it was given but I'm not about to flood talkback radio in complaint after it hasn't.

No-one else you reckon Minty? Scholes? Gibson took one and scored in the Carling Cup and is a regular scorer at reserve level.

Overall Zenny and Minty sometimes you two need to pull your heads out as at times it can be embarrasing to argue for the same side as you guys.

How do you call Tim Cahill a tosser? He had a terrible game and did his best to hand us the momentum in the shootout.

Tim Howard is far from a cunt as well, he's a humble guy who went out to do a job as a pro footballer and saved two poorly taken pens.
He wasn't born and raised United and it was us who chose to ship him off, he didn't ask to go.

The pitch: Last I checked both teams where using the same one.

There's a reason Ferguson has been managing Man Utd almost as long as I've been alive, I'm gutted about today but this team had a decent shout at winning. If they had you'd all be calling him a genius.

I think the main problem would be the losses to Liverpooland Fulham, if United had an extra six points (and three less to Liverpool) we would have seen a stronger side and possibly a different result.

I have no problem with Ferguson prioritising Europe and the premier leauge and I can't wait to see the reward of big game experience in a few of these young guys in the years to come.
Looking past the headline grabbers I'm picking Gibson as a rock in the midfield in the making.
[quote]
Just watched it a bunch more times and I went from 90% certain on the penalty back down to about 75%, still think it wasn't but I can definitely see why you guys feel a bit denied Smile
[quote]
I think the ref came down on Everton quite a bit after that penalty was ignored; particularly the chance where Vidic tripped himself while trying to tackle Cahill and left Cahill unmarked 30 yards out with no-one near him. One on one against Foster would have been VERY interesting after him seeming a bit nervy especially by Man Utd standards. Have to place heavy blame on Berbatov for taking that penalty so badly in my opinion; there was no reason why needed to give that away so easily and I really don't think Rio did that bad a job, I think he just got unlucky as you do when it comes down to penalties.

End of the day good work the Toffees, both teams played fairly well but they happened to win the coin toss Smile
[quote]
Berbatov's penalty summed him up as a player, lazy... Howard went the wrong way and still managed to save it.
[quote]
He doesn't ever really seem to work very hard (but I've heard enough commentators etc say that's just how he happens to move that I believe it) but was he like that with Spurs? I really didn't ever pay them any attention until the whole Keane thing...
[quote]
Well he's lazy in the classic Romario sense, non existent work rate, poor trainer, looks disinterested, but as long as he bangs in goals no one cares. The trouble with that sort of striker (only strikers can get away with it) is that whe they're not scoring goals people get pissed off with them.
[quote]
A few things I have noticed about Berbatov so far.

He doesn't have the work rate of Rooney or Tevez, that much is obvious to anyone who's watch a single United game this year. Their work rate allows him to play his game, you need complementary characters in a football team.

He does however have a better understanding of the game than any striker I've seen since Cantona (I'm not saying he's Cantona number two, just that he has a Football brain) this allows him to amble but still be in the right spot as compared to some amateurs like myself that run all day but still get caught out.

He's never going to run from halfway, beat half a team and score, he's type of player who really needs good players around him to shine (I mean this is true of most but even more so with him)
The flipside of this is that he is a tremendous talent and the fact that he needs others to show it is that he often brings others into the game and gets more out of his surrounding players.

Overall, yep he'll stand and watch while Rooney chases the ball but I'm a big fan.
Shame about the penalty because it had his confidence in abundance but was lacking all his usual composure. (I think he was going for a little chip, which he fucked up, a foot higher and it goes over Howard's leg, we all think 'fuck he's cocky and casual but dam he's good')
[quote]
Interesting info both ways, cheers lads ^_^

kinda wanted London blues to win more as still mad about scouser blues beating us in semi

hope will be a good game

if London blues win the cup will be a good send-off for the departing Hiddink
[quote]
Yeah I'd like Hiddink to have some silver to show what he's done, but overall I can't do it. Fingers crossed Everton pull off a massive upset!
