Everything that is wrong with rugby...

...Is summed up in the incident in the Tasman-Wellington game, where with eight minutes to go, holding a two pioint lead, the referee makes a rediculous yellow carding without warning and after inconsistantly referrring the breakdown all night.

The game was ruined as a potential boilover or cliffhanger, and all because the referee fucked up and the rules at the breakdown suck.

It would have been awesome if Tasman had won. Scoreline ended up VERY flattering to Wellington in the end. That yellow card basically killed it for Tasman.

Proof if ever that Wellington crumble as soon as anyone puts genuine pressure on them.

Watch 'em choke on their unbeaten run at some point in the playoffs.
