On saying that, he does fuck up the machine gun kicks on One a lot when he plays it live. Another interesting fact is the kick parts you hear on the studio version, are the four best he did in the studio, and then (courtesy of a dude called Randy Razorblades) they just duplicated the kicks for the whole section. Pre pro-tools, so yep Randy was busy cuttin up tape.
This is a trick he implemented on Puppets. That's why every hit sounds huge, he finds the best parts and duplicates them.
Which is also why they don't play Dyers Eve live, cause.......he cant play it live.

I would go the other way, the music would be as boring as shit if it wasn't propelling the narrative that Lou is speaking. I think it's quite interesting and a cut above the boring as fuck Lame Metal they've been pedaling for ages. At least now they're experimenting and pushing their boundaries a bit.
