So, are we all excited (those of us in Europe anyway)???
Who's gonna win: France, Portugal or Netherlands? Maybe even the Czech republic as a rank outsider? I reckon they're the top 4, maybe Spain as well... People don't seem rate the Czechs too much, but given that they won 7 and drew 1 of their 8 qualifiers in a group that included the Netherlands, Austria and others means they can't be understimated. The only reason the netherlands had to play off against crusty old Scotland for a place at the tournament was because the Czechs won their group.
And to top off the excitement, the Lounge room above the world's coolest house club (The End) is coming to the party for EURO 2004. Every day at AKA for Euro 2004:
Cinema screen
World Class Surround sound
Pints at pub prices
Ground floor & mezzanine viewing
AKA has one of the biggest screens in London outside of Highbury, and also has a world class surround sound system which according to their advertising guff will "mean you can soak up the match atmosphere as if you're at the stadium itself".

They're also bringing in kegs and pint glasses for the tournament, so we can all have draught beer at pub prices.
God I love that club!
So whats everyone doin on sunday night for England's first match against France (and one of THE games of the opening group competition)? I might be goin somewhere with my flatmates for it... or i may flag on them and just go to The End/AKA cos i know it'll be cool
