if yr not sore you didn't push yourself

i have done around 5-6 half ironmans, and 3-4 stand alone half marathons...i'm always really sore the day after. if you have a gel you should have some fluid too. you may find you only really need one gel for a half marathon? but if you have only used them in training a few times perhaps you just need to use them more...i know when i get to a stage in 2 plus hour race and i start to feel nauseous because of gels that i need to switch to flat coke. flat coke seems to settle my stomach right down in those situations.
