DVD burning software

I want to get rid off all the movies I have on my laptop h/d and put them all onto DVD-R's.

Can you please recommend me a good, free software to use to do this please.

It's probably cheaper per GB to just buy an external drive dude.

yeah I wouldn't bother personally with DVDs. Take ages to burn, cost a lot more and the data probably isn't as safe.

Hard drives are soooo damn cheap.

Good point lads. I might go out and buy one. I don't need a massive one, for now anyways.

For now... Just buy a terabyte and be done with it for a bit longer.

DVDs are still slightly cheaper. DVDs work out to about 10c / GB. a 1TB external would be over 15c / GB

I've moved my movies to DVD for a couple of reasons, but mainly because it saves me having to burn it to DVD when I actually want to watch it.

All my movie DVD are divx though. Fuck burning 1 movie per DVD. That would take for ever.

interesting, I just did exactly the opposite and burn them all onto a new 1 TB external HDD from DVDs

it's such an effort to either rip or burn a whole collection of dvd's. I don't usually watch a movie more than once. After downloading or sourcing a movie from a friend, I usually transfer it to a USB drive to play on my PS3 then promptly delete it afterward. No point holding onto something I will never watch again.. it just takes up too much space!
