Downfall of the Phoenix

No, not talking about the Phoenix FC, talking about the (former) Phoenix on Dixon Street. IMHO used to be THE EDM club in Wellington, then it closed and became some other club and then Garden Club and now a STRIP CLUB. Now don't get me wrong I'm all for strip clubs, but this is hallowed ground.
Is it just me of does the EDM scene in Wellington seem a bit lame? There's Sandwiches, but it's never really ben quite my cup of tea, no decent venues here, no decent acts bother coming here only Auckland...

Have to agree, the only real true dance music venue left is Sandwiches, and on the whole nothing is too regular there.

Studio Nine was decent, every week, three nights a week at least of house, drum'n'bass and techno.

Was back in there two years ago briefly. Hasn't changed a bit, so dated.

Tatou was dece too.
