Seems a lot of promoters are out there promoting already.

Already a good six or so parties lined up.

Anyone got plans already or an idea of where you might be heading / what you may be doing?

Just booked our flights to Queenstown. Will be 10-20 of us down there, so we'll be making our own fun!

I have done Highlife the last 2 years, so thought we'd give it a break this year. I really wanted to go to RnV, but a few of my mates weren't keen on the big party vibe, plus the types of accommodation that you get in Gisborne are like living in slums compared to the mansions you get in Queenstown for not a lot of difference in price. Under floor heating, spa pools, sky, internet, flat screens, double bedrooms etc and you're still not paying much more than what you'd be paying in Gizzy.

Flights were only $280 return, so when you factor in a large ticket price to RnV or Highlife, the outlay is not much different.

Very Happy

We had a pretty decent big house in Gisborne last year for RnV. Big place with epic decks and lawns on a lifestyle block a few minutes away from the venue. I guess you have to be in pretty early to snap up places like that though.

As far as new years goes for me this year, I will probably just be hanging out in Auckland. I'm heading off on holiday for 7 weeks in a month and when I come back I am not really going to be able to take time off to head away again.

Not necessarily jbs. How do you know a time machine won't be invented tomorrow; what do you have a time machine or something?
[quote]
You'll have to wait til tomorrow at least to find out.

You call that an idea? Son, that's mearly a general location of where I may be plotted on the globe. Hardly an idea of what I plan to do for NYE Razz

No plans. Probably getting too old for most things and depends on what Antiform is doing and how much money I have...
[quote]
Yep, have had for a few months and mainly because the last 2 NY's have been total ass due to failure to plan anything, so we got onto something quickly for this year.

Rented a house on Moureeses Bay (Whananaki) for a week. No cell reception, no WiFi, and hardly anyone around. Just chillin on the beach. Sweeeeeeet.

I'm looking around for where to head also.
Being a NightClub / Events photographer, I'm looking for something larger to hit up (paid is also great).
Anyone have some ideas (location doesn't matter)?

Phat went under because they were bankrupt.

I have no idea what I'll be doing this year. Keen to not be in the city and to be by a beach. Theres a few of us talking about renting a house out for a week over that period.. We shall see though. Smile
