Do you wear a seat belt?

I'm naughty and never do, although sometimes I get this weird vibe to wear it, like a strange feeling so I put it on so I do.

Do the adverts on tv make you think twice at all?

I always have and always do.
I do it as soon as I sit in the car (and sometimes even if I sit in a car and know I'm not going anywhere I put it on automatically - duh)

The ad's dont do much for me

I always wear a seatbelt. Not really because of the ads, more common sense really.

Yeah it is total common sense, but I had this real dork boyfriend when I was a little girl and he never wore one and (get this) used to hassle me for putting it on, so I got out of the habit.

My stepmother had two crashes in a car and never wore her seatbelt...... funny thing is, she believed that if she had worn them she wouldn't have survived as she would've had a tree through her head, and wouldn't have been able to get out of the car the second time.............

It's automatic for me too. I remember feeling so unsafe when I had to go somewhere by bus and not being able to wear a seat belt.

I always wear a seatbelt in the front or the rear. Oh and crash helmets on motorbikes too. Without them i would`ve been a vegetable ten times over.

um....I ride a motorcycle. And even if I'm driving I'm exempt due to various metal parts of my anatomy.

yea..always do. maybe sumtimes id forget it, but thats with ONLY ppl i trust very well behind the wheel.

Vadinho....IIRC, the law regarding no seatbelt fines changed, and now if the passengers are over [16-18 I'm not sure] they get the fine, not the driver....but I could be wrong there, it may have been changed the other way round...

That's why airbags are manadory fitment on all US-spec cars, cause nobody wears seatbelts. Of course, now it's more like "its our constitutional right to get our airbags disabled!!!! god bless america!!!" Fuckin yanks

The only time I don't wear a seatbelt is when I'm driving from the petrol station to my house or vice versa, since it's less than 80m away. (When I'm on my way home or out of course, I'm not THAT lazy!)

Ha.. Ok. I'll go with the Moo-call and admit that I can be slack for not wearing my seatbelt when I'm driving. I normally remember to put it on at some stage during the journey but sometimes thats alot closer to the destination...

I've had two tickets for not wearing my seatbelt in the last 6 years too... but.. err.. I'm better than I was.

first thing i ever do when i get into a diff car is say " where is the seat belt if i cant find it. mates always lol at me all i think is well i might be the one lol at the end of the nite cause i put it on. but have heard stories that if ppl didnt have one on they might have lived.

and you can even get those funky little covers for the seatbelts, ya know... so they don't rub and give ya a rash

I never used to wear a seatbelt at all, but always used to make my gf's wear them.

The only reason I started wearing them is I got pulled over and given lots and lots of tickets for not wearing them

Now that I have another car with dark tinted windows I slack off from wearing them again.

I always wear my seatbelt in the front, if I'm slightly drunk or whatever then I tend to be slack in the back. Especially in older cars where you have to have a big mish just to get it all cranking.

And Vader, they change the law on that ages ago, you get the fine personally for no seatbelt. 0/10

I'd feel too unsafe being without it, even in the back seat I feel fuckin' dodgy as and I torture myself without it :p~ And seeing as I just lost a cousin late last year from her flying out of a car from wearing no seatbelt, it would be disrespectful not to. Better get safer I think.

I always have worn them and it paid off big time last year, had a direct head on crash with another car, and got broken ribs and stuff from the seat belt and ko'd from the sudden stop but its better than being dead!

The crazy thing is that it doesn't matter how good a driver YOU are, it's how crap everyone else is. Imagine how bummed you'd be when someone crashes into you and you fuck yourself up. I've had three people crash into me in the past four years (all their fault, liability etc), and the most damage I've had has been whiplash all three times. I daresay it would have been a lot worse otherwise.

One day I took mine off to pick up some mail that I had dropped on the floor on the way to work. My b/f crashed into the back of someones car coz they slammed on their breaks and I almost went through the windscreen. I looked up and all I saw was the back end of another car b 4 I hit the screen. It was good actually coz I was just thinking about how I had a splitting headache - I then had a reason to have it. I cracked the windscreen and looked like a freak for a week

I don't even think abnout it, I just put it on automatically, can't help it. Good habit, I can't undertsand why anyone wouldn't war one, its not like they're uncomfortable.
