One of Aucklands finest new talents, Funkshun amongst many other gigs, has rocked the floor at Fu and the last Bass Cartel with State of Mind, with a style I’d liken to Andy C in that he likes his fast loops, double drops and does so with such accuracy. Add to this a weekly show on Twisted and its easy to see why this young maverick has such a following…me included.

I had the pleasure of listening to a funkshun cd a wee while ago and was well impressed.....esp. seeing as he's mainly a breaks dude!

Just to clarify, Funkshun is purely DnB. He's part of the QB crew so this may have confused things. One of the QB promoters also does DnB (Bass Cartel)

As anticipated town was CRAZY, and despite any concerns the Catalyst crowd was well behaved.

What a great night it was, big thanks to the ones like Felun and HSD for laying down some nice choons, was great to see you both spin again.

Mad props to Funkshun for busting out what I can only describe as a hammering set, phat choons, fast paced, fast loops, very energetic behind the decks, the crowd response was great. Chur to TVT for your support as well, was great to have you guys in town again. Very much looking forward to a repeat in August.

Also, we have GOT to get Funkshun and Cosha together for some b2b action…dance floor devastation no doubt.
