Javed started djing in Singapore in 1995. His professional DJ career began when he was offered a residency at one of the trendiest clubs in Singapore called Top Ten.
With his move to New Zealand in late '95, he got bookings from various nightclubs in Auckland, such as Sam Buca's, Angle Bar, Suite 285, The Ministry, Ibiza, Mix and Grand Circle.
Unlike many other DJs, Javed established himself an outstanding reputation as both, DJ and MC, which made him become one of the best known representatives of the house music scene throughout the country.
As one of the highlights in his successful career, Javed was invited to one of New Zealand’s biggest rave in the late 90's called “The Brainâ€, which were fuelled with the greatest national Djs such as Sample Gee and Sam Hill. Under the moniker “Lester da Jesterâ€, he mc-ed to more than a thousand people at these events. Javed entered a competition in 2003 called 'Found @ Thirst', where he was the victor after competing amongst hundreds of entrants. By doing so he has released his track on various compilations in the New Zealand music scene, namely Sugarlicks 2003 and Grey Lynn Festival Compilation. He is currently doing bootleg remixes of artists such as Peaches & Herb, Method Man, Sean Paul and Black Eyed Peas.
Javed got engaged into professional music production in 1999 and is currently in final negotiation rounds in getting signed to one of Germany’s leading house labels Peppermint Records in Hannover. He is expected to release his first official production early 2006.
Currently, one can see him play at Lenin bar on Saturday nights , where he has got residency status. He can be also found at these other prestegious clubs such as Spy Bar, Bacio, Starz and Chic.
