DJ Kentaro’s reputation as one of the world's best turntablistists is without question. On his way to his World DMC title in 2002 , he took a sword to his opponents with a 6 minute tsunami of musical manga; hip-hop, reggae, drum ‘n’ bass and electro blended to turntablistic excess and garnering Kentaro the first ever 10 out of 10 performance at a DJ Battle.
His perilous skills at the decks place him alongside a long list of past DMC winners including Roc Raida, Q-Bert, A-Trak and Craze. With the legendary Cutmaster Flex declaring, "Kentaro brought the music back into turntablisim and he's taken it to the next level".

Kentaro was quickly snapped up by the Ninja Tune family, dishing up the delectable "Wheels of Solid Steel Mix” and has gone on to perform sold out shows in Jamaica, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France, the US and Australia.
Since then Kentaro has dropped his first artist album “Enter” for Ninja Tune, upholding Kentaro's own mantra of "No Walls between the Music" he effortlessly combines cosmic hip hop with space jungle, blast furnace funk with jacked jazz, succulent soul with demented down tempo cuts, collaborating with the infamous Spank Rock and the legendary Pharcyde in the process.

Fast Forward to 2007, and the sensei of sonic fury has gone video. That's right...Kentaro has traded up, moving from his beloved 1200's, his set is a cut paste experiment of epic proportions.
