Heh yeah something like that, Sydney normally gets the hiphop acts before NZ so gotta keep the NZers informed!

WBC was last nite right? *green with envy* i'm dying to see Shapeshifter.

Manly this weekend, should be good Smile

BUMP - all you cats get out to CRAZE next month....

[quote]
Do you know what day he's in Wellington. I'd fucking love to go see him, but haven't heard a date yet. It'll be interesting to see what mix he plays, how much DnB, how much hip hop etc...
[quote]
I'm not sure of his ratio of hiphop and dnb, I will find out when he comes 19 May to Sydney.

I think Craze is in WTG on the 24th May? Don't quote me on that. I cheq out the details for ya.

OOh gettin excited abot Craze! does ozzie get that much hip hop? I always kinda gathered it was bigger here because of our polynesian influences?
[quote]
Interesting thought Malika, maybe acornm can give us a 'headz up', so to speak. Very Happy

Should be a wicked night, though - Friday! I'm gearing up to this one just like I geared up to DJ Marky, and that was an amazing gig. Razz

Craze is my goddam hero. That guy can seemingly scratch with any part of his body, elbows or knees or whatever. Niiice track selection too. A very, very special set.
[quote]
Oooh yeah, the hiphop particularly was good, but his whole set was a lot of fun.

Craze started with Busta Rhymes - As I come back, into some Beatnuts, Into decepticonz!, into Roots Manuva!, something else, then P-money!

6 tracks in and his selection already had taken in some of my favourite acts and tracks..

The scratching was something else entirely, Welli and Chch peeps, you'd be mad to miss him.
[quote]
Yeah I was straight up lovin his hiphop and scratch sets, the dnb didn't impress me though.

Ahhh he played all those hiphop tracks from the GOLDEN ERA - TROY, Passin me by, Award Tour, Come Clean.
[quote]
The DnB didn't impress you acornm? Howcome? I thought his selection was mad, I mean opening to Welcome to the Bassline here was off the hook, and then a big Shake It -> LK (Vocal) mix was mad, as well as rinsing out Morning Light by the local boys.

And scratching up some of the biggest anthems of the year... Very Happy~~~~~~
[quote]
voiceinsideyou - it was the way he selected the tracks - maybe he did it differently in NZ but he jumped from some chilled out hiphop beats and gave us no time to recover before throwin in those dark grimey dnb tracks.

Maybe if he went with the LK and Midnight tracks at the beginning it wouldn't have been so bad.

His sets didn't flow too well as in preparing everyone for hardcore dnb, no wonder the hiphop heads scattered when the dnb got too hard.

To much variation to adjust my ears to.
