Oval Racing is a better spectacle for the crowd as they can see the whole track and there's constant position changes. Not a big fan of it myself though, F1 will always be king by me.

Only about half of the races are on ovals so they still get lots of practice on the normal tracks. Its american what do you expect?

That was Cart racing, IRL is all oval tracks (at least it was last season). If they merge I guess that could change.

I doubt they will merge but Cart will probably become a second string series over the next few seasons. IRL has the top drivers, the top teams, and Indianapolis.
