TranceAlot - Looks like Oprah has reared who ugly head again, even though I would agree that the Gathering is one of the Worlds top 10 places to be for New Years dance parties, that was all rumours spread during the 97/98 Gathering, that Oprah had said that the Gathering was one of the top 10 partys to be @ for New Years
Unless u have the other exert from which they quoted this on a magazine I am sure that would be some kinda like a resume for the Gathering to put on the website.

Baynessy - I am sure ure ticket will be worth every penny, think of it this way, u are paying $53.33 each night to see some amazing Internationals, not only that, but New Zealands finest local acts
Usually u pay around 40 bucks to see 1 international, and if u were in Welly or Auckland u will be paying around 70 bucks for a 1 night dance party so think of it as a bargain

Your absolutly right LXR - I had kinda already planned to go to the Gathering before digweed was confirmed as the line up and the whole experience was going to be the main drawcard....now that Digweed is confirmed, everything is falling nicely into place... - Ferry tickets are pretty expensive at the moment...alll depends if you want to take your car on board... I suggest you walk on, like I'm doing then sought out a ride once your in Picton...

yeah, the Bus and Ferry have Gathering packages and they are pretty cheap. U can get a bus straight to the G, or bus from Picton - Nelson for four about 18 bucks, Ferry is cheap if u take the early morning sailings.

Sasha won't be playing, but Kasey Taylor from Vapour Recordings has also been confirmed. Kasey is one of Australias top DJs and has also been recording with Digweed on his Bedrock label.

Tiesto is much more of a trance (gouda style) DJ. Most people would say that Oakenfold is more of a cheddar DJ too. I'd be inclined to disagree and say that Oakenfold is more of the musical slut variety- will play what ever is big at the time- but hey, I guess that's how you become a superstar.

Digweed will play with Kasey Taylor after midnight on the night of the 1st/2nd of January 2002.

But... Austin Leeds is playing on the first night.... so that's pretty sweet too
