yeah id like to buy that and a fish eye lens - i know someone overseas atm so i might get them to buy it on the way back through dutyfree. Otherwise try and find someone who can get me a good deal... (anyone??)

Same CCD etc. as the 10D and the other one, only difference is build quality but im not a professional photographer so the 300D is my preference.

Yeah i had a play with a 1D and was amazed - unfortunately you cant use the lcd as a viewfinder but i doubt i would ever take it into a club so im not too fussed.

The new 1D van take 40 shots @ 8.5shots per second

the 300D can take 4@2.5 whicch is a huge improvment to my current camera which seems to take 1@1/4 sometimes.

I can see myself spending a packet on the accessories tho - so ill let everyone will know what i want for xmas and birthdays

Yeah... so worth it tho.. SLR = usable for 10 years

Ill probably get a fish eye 15mm or 14mm lens when i can afford it - im quite keen to do outdoor shots. I hate it how you try to take a picture of a landscape and it never captures what it actually looks like (queenstown/wanaka would be an example and im heading down there in august).

I know someone who got the 10D Body for $2k - id look at that but really id rather just get the 300d at the cheapest price i can.

I've had a D100 for a year now... NOTHING beats it!!

(It'll never see the dark of a club though )

The powershot G5 would be good for clubs with a f2.0 lens but aprat from the lens its just a s30/40/50 which i have already.

The Olympus 5050 had an f1.8 lense... pity the thing had battery issues... I'm considering the 5060 althought the lense is an f2.4 its still kicks ass over the G5... I've tried them both in a club enviroment and the Canon is such a f**ing slow bitch its ridiculous!!

There is a new D70 by Nikon too which looks really nice but is a bit more expensive than the EOS 300D.

The interface is lots nicer on the 10D but as far as image quality goes, cos they use the same sensor, is identical.

Hopefully prices keep coming down, till then I'm stuck with film.
