Another 2-pager. House forum = the new lounge Very Happy
[quote]
is that a good thing tho?
[quote]
Well, we don't have the level of general pants that goes down in the lounge, and we do have some good discussion in here.

Plus we get to tear people new ones without fear of retribution.

I say win win win Cool

of course it is!

people come in here, they join discussions, they come back, they a few times, they get involved, they might listen to some music you talk about, they like it, they play it to their friends, another trance-head bites the dust..

how can that be a lose?

Woah, was on holiday and almost missed the Biggie House Forum's annual discussion on breaks/break-beat/broken beat.

Anyone learnt anything new? Nope. Cool, let's do it all again next year.

What you guys think of vinyl vs mp3?

Nothing is new. Everything is rehashed. We've all embraced post modernism to avoid having an original thought Embarassed

I do like multiple genres.. I dont like to be trapped into mixing only one style of music... that gets boring ... did anyone check out the remix i did of the theme from SAW?? I was curious to get some hateraid or feedback on it..

vinyl vs mp3...
I like vinyl a lot more and feel more at home with it.. however i am seeing more clubs remove the turntables and replace em with cd decks leaving no choice but to play cds... and the cds are sweet because you can make a song that day export it and play it that night in the club... that is the only real advantage to it... other than that you have to worry about it skipping whereas with turntables you are good to go unless your needles suck.. Confused

haha yeah i saw that on crate kings a while back (love that blog). Beat's kinda really average aswell. Maybe he'll be making beats on timbaland's beaterator on PSP soon...

but, and i'm not a Dj btw, i would think that this kind of dexterity, sound etc was largely unachievable on cdjs:

saw this lately with craze, not using laptop for visual reference either (would've most likely been pre-practiced though):
