Deja Vu meets Damion Pell

Now you have been in the scene a long time with promoting and djing... where do you see yourself going in 2010....?

D: 2010 will be another big year work wise with the hotel group I run, with myself opening 2 new clubs in the new year in Sydney, along with some major touring once again at the end of January. I have cut back allot of my gigs lately down to twice a week as it is kinda gruelling working a long week and then doing another 12 hours of gigs on top of that.



Will you adventure into producing tunes or you quite happy to sit back and mix up a storm...?

D: Well, I have been asked to do allot of collaborations with some guys from Hed Kandi of late and will be working on a few remixes with Levi 5 Star before he moves to Europe in the new year.



You have done a few gigs now, what has been a stand out gig for 2009?

D: Well so many, Australia Day, touring with Derrick Carter, Crazy P, Collette and Mason was a major stand out festival I headlined, but one of the best was a 7 hour gig not to long ago where everything just came together and each track just got better and better. By the end of the night, had people dancing on the bar tops, to staff in the booth partying, to the manager breakdancing. Was one of the best nights I have ever played and has reinvigorated my love for music once again.


Describe your current style of music you playing?

D: I play quite a few styles, but I'm really into my driving tech house with a healthy dash of some tough electro


Vodak or Jagermeister?

D: Straight vodka with a few freshly squeezed limes on ice..... it's emotional


You have also played overseas - what was that like?

D: Europe was great. But it isn't too different to a home crowd. It isn't always like you see in the movies, there are some crap nights and promoters too.

Do you prefer vegies or meat or the combo?

D: Bit of both, good to have a healthy balance (with a beer or two)

Favourite producer at mo?

D: No real favourite per sei, depends on what I am liking at the time


Favourtie Dj?

D: Honestly, I get to book and work with some amazing people every week. I am lucky to have a good group of close freinds around me who are absolute amazing people and DJ's, that naming any particular one, wouldn't be fair.

Best saying you have heard for 2009?

D: Thats how I roll - Bitch!
