hey y'all

Does anyone know where i could get my decks looked at in London? pitch control problem.

I got mine serviced at a place in shepards bush. (i had the same problem)i can't rerember the name but i do have the phone number. they came highly recommended and they know there stuff. good price too!

did they let you know what was wrong, yeah but...?

i knew it was the pitch slider on one of mine cos it kept on sliding badly around the center! get them to take out the ball bearing's in the sliders while they are there so they don't 'click' (its easy done and they'll be a bit like mk 5's then!) i replaced both of my sliders just to be safe. they will check the pitch and service moving parts etc plus make sure everything else is sweet (i needed a new tone arm on the other one that was'nt sliding due to the needle jumping in the groove sometimes!) The dude seems to know his stuff, he fix's them all day!

opps, i just presumed they were 1200 mk2's like most of us have!

And now the other one has gone!!! First fix cost me £68. Looks like it will be the same again.
The dude that fixed these bastards was saying that the mk5's have dodgy pitch controls and usually need to get changed.

Heres what not to do....
i got new turnies, the ekco limited edition ones and my boy thought he could "tweak" them so out comes the dreaded screw driver...and now they dont go!!!! Im not talking to him and wont til they fixed....leave it to the pros!...im soooooooo mad!

and the other decks gone for you now mike?! what a fucken cunt! the main reason i didnt go the mk5's (behind money) was that the mk2's have been around for more than 20 years with little problems. they stand the test of time
