was a great performance, they performed for bout 2 hours or so, wicked mixing on the CDJ1000's also, very impressive

I got the impression that they were trying to "school" us on crowd participation & not getting the response they would have liked. They appeared to be quite frustrated at times.

Not being allowed to dance upstairs was a huge downer
Every time people started to feel a vibe going, it was quickly stomped out by security shining their torch on you till you sat down. FARKEN RUDE!!
De La noticed this about halfway thru the show and got everyone to stand up, but it wasnt long before everyone was sitting again.
Its probably St James covering their ass against OSH or something but it played a big part in killing the vibe of the evening.

That does sound lame. Was it packed out upstairs as well as on the dancefloor?

I'm all for OSH standards and everything but when it comes down to an international act performing and security gettin all uppity about a few hedz dancin upstairs ... well thats just just plain ridiculous!

coz some of my mates were in GA and some of us were seated we all wanted to be together ... in order for that to happen we ended up doin dodgy ticket swaps to get us all into one area ... fucken WHACK man!

as for the show .... De La were fucken brilliant! I think some of the crowd lacked tho coz there were certain parts where a response was required and de la werent getting it ... bit of a let down! wherez tha hedz ya'll?
all the old skool shiz got rinsed and the mixing was seamless - Eye Know, Hey Hey Hey, Buddy, Oooh, Say No Go ... the whole time i was in GA me n the hedz fully boogied HARD!

i missed the last two songs but i hear a whole bunch of north shore slappers got on stage for a wee booty shake ... ma hedz were tellin me no nubians were present therefore no rhythm present either hahahaha


fu bar was nice n cozy - not sure about all the chick-scouters from the de la cru tho - holy hell were those guys hangin out for a bit or what???

anywayzzzzzz ..... all in all ... me and tha hedz had a FUCKEN BRILLIANT nite out ... 'twas a killa night for my Last Night On The Town ...

well i got there when p money and scribe were rocking the joint busted mai gurlies and i through the crowd right to the front they had the krew rocking but i just aint feelin that newzealand hiphop stand the fuck up ish.
then on with the main act..
de la was dope they rocked out all the oldies plus some newer ish.... mixing/scratching was majorly average and was highly unimpressed when they rocked out that 50 cent shizz at the start. totally feelin them bustin out all the tribe faves in the intermission had me rappin along more so than when they were on . then they came back on stage handed one of them a blunt but he said he wasnt aloud but thanks and kept cheesin us all night. thought the hound dog crowd on the stage at the end was wack had all these bitches just jumpin on stage probably sussin out the uss for the after party anyways had a fully tyte time well worth the $$
