They cancelled it due to all the bullshit thats going on in Pakistan. Looks like it will be next year sometime now.

The T20 Champions league I mean- played in India next year. One team from a few of the cricket playing nations... But not NZ. Just caught the end of an article on Aussie news this morning.

They had nominated Central Districts (the local T20 team) as a possible entry but gave it to Middlesex instead.

Basically it all came down to whether the English teams would enter and they decided at the eleventh hour that they were keen. Otherwise it is totally made up between English, Indian (IPL) and Australian teams. I think... Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

it's only South Africa, India, England, Australia. Those are the countries that are signed up. I'm guessing it's a money thing, maybe

It was up in the air whether English teams would take part because a lot of them have players from the ICL. I think at one stage BCCI was trying to ensure teams with ICL players were barred from competing fullstop, not just the players themselves.

Has their been any news on the ICL players were taking against the ruling that bars them from international cricket? Although were is the ICC based? If it's in the UK then it definitely contravenes EU laws.

They're based in Dubai now... but I doubt that matters, it would be whatever country the player is from...

I think the ICL thing will come to a head soon, and hopefully sanity will prevail and they'll be allowed to play... could mean Bond back at some point
