credit card question.. .

Simple question:

If I pay for something with a cr. card, and get a refund but have changed cr. cards between purchase and refund (not teh account, just the card itself (and hence the cr. card number)) , will the refund still make its way into my account? Or will it get lost somewhere along the way/not go through at all?

Your card number won't necessarily have changed. Just the exp and maybe the CVV

nah, credit card number changed as well i think (only last four digits though)

Just a guess but I think it would come back as the purchase is attached to the account not the card number.

er, what I mean is the number isn't the primary field in the database, but if it' all a retailer has, the bank/ cc vendor will still have both cc's attached to each other and the account. All speculation of course, but it makes sense to me.

The payment will go back to your account... not the card number itself. You will have something on your statement referring to the payment going to the old card number, but you will receive it
