BUTCHER BOY
Dale Fairbairn aka Butcherboy joined the UK hardhouse scene in 2000. A couple of house parties later he was playing at some of the most popular events in London, including Camden Palace and the infamous Finger parties. In 2005 Dale returned to New Zealand and became mates with Scuba Steve after doing the same big O.E. to London. They worked on tracks together before meeting Captain Tinrib, who was now based in their home town of Christchurch. Together they produced some pretty decent tunes! The Captain mentioned doing an album together and Omega 3 was born!
Dale’s solo productions include ‘It’s Like That’, ‘Gay Bar’ and ‘Elation’. He saw the opportunity to raise the bar on running a professional recording label that lead to launching Carbon Recordings. Dale has had an amazing 18 months with the anthem ‘Fishy Situations’ being played by everyone from Justin Bourne to Andy Farley, signings to Vicious Circle, appearances on Tidy compilations and of course the release of the Omega 3 album. Butcher Boy has also been making some waves of his own with solo releases on Spinball & Toolbox to name a few, as well as running his hugely popular Carbon Recordings imprint.
JODY 6 (Australia) Jody 6 has 59 releases on top hard dance record labels such as Nukeluz, Vicious Circle, Volatile, Flash Point, NuEnergy, Tinrib, Presence Addiction Digital, Fevah and more. His energetic take on hard dance has resulted in big name DJs including Paul Glazby, Kevin Energy, Carl Nicholson, Marc Johnson, Phil York, and Ben Stevens regularly spinning his tracks around the world. After beginning his music career as a producer he then got into DJing, starting of as a resident at the Tokyo super club - Code. Jody 6’s unique blend of uplifting hard dance has resulted in his demand to spin at leading parties around the world such as Frantic and Fevah in Japan, U4ria in England, and Crank in New Zealand. After spending 5 years in Tokyo, Jody 6 returned to his hometown of Brisbane, Australia in 2006. In Australia, Jody 6 has headlined at major raves throughout the country including System 6 in Adelaide, Logic in Sydney, and 3 Styles and Mayhem in Brisbane. Check out www.myspace.com/djjody6
