theyre in your personal profile search hidden folders for outlook or outlook expess from memory there is 3 or 4 files that you can just place in the new computers (use the same directory)

you can move a whole profile that was just create the new account and move everything except ntuser.*

or in xp you can use the file transfer wizard to do it. (accoessories >system tools)

C:\Documents and Settings\Rimu Atkinson\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

replace 'Rimu Atkinson' with your login.

i would expect it to be in C:\Documents and Settings\Rimu Atkinson\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook but oddly they decided to put it in the localsettings folder Confused

that is on windows 2k, running Outlook 2k, but i imagine XP is similar

On Outlook Express on XP.

Click Tools > Options > Maintainence, then click on Store Folder

Copy the entire string. On this PC, it looks like
C:\Documents and Settings\Resource\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{592E37E7-A220-4F6A-9E20-387B3DEB8E79}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Click Start > Run then paste in the string and hit OK.

It will open up the exact folder, copy all the files in there to your new PC.

On the new PC, setup your Outlook Express, then BEFORE you check for new mail, do the exact same thing again, but this time, when you get the Store Folder open, just move the files you copied to this folder. Done.
