Cooking NZ kai in ya foreign countries

Cooked two roast chickens, potatoes, kumara and carrots on Sunday and fed about 8 people.

All the Japanese people were well impressed as men in Japan NEVER cook.

My Aussie mates thought it was pretty good too

Anyone been cooking stuff from NZ and impressing the world?

I made a kumara and oranger salad on Christmas day It was the first one to run out, the Aussies seemed to like it

Not that it was NZ food but I cooked a wicked Thai Green curry that had one Japanese girl crying because it was too hot!

I've mainly stuck to run of the mill food here. But aussie isn't so different. Cept when it comes to hangi's etc...

There was talk of a midwinter kiwi christmas. I'm still thinking thats a goer if the other peeps are keen.

I cook all the time. And I'm known for it. I think that was a large contributing factor to getting my current girlfriend...

We had a nice Anzac day BBQ on Sunday (not that I knew it was Anzac day until my flattie mentioned it)

Yeah, Japanese women are blown away if you can cook a good meal.

I cooked a roast along with apple crumble and rum truffles for some of my old students. 4 housewifes per session x 3 lunches with wine & coffee @ 20,000 yen a shot =most of my ticket home for Christmas. One of them was so stoked she sang a solo of Bette Middlar's "Wind beneath my wings" in appreciation. Helps to get stoned for these types of occasions .

I cant...and dont cook. In fact me and cooking are bitter enemies.

I only cook if I absolutely HAVE to....and then its only stir frys. I cant do anything else.
