Yeah, is it the same Click Rig that we had last time?

Coz the new Click boys at Soundsplash didnt know what time it was.

Any way, sound that strong sounded good anywhere in the 'Catcave'...
It just feel's good.

BBzzzzzzzrt BOOOOOOOWaaaaaaow

Stuff I have heard from Concord of late IMO reminds me of Dbridge's new stuff, and the collabiration with Gramsci sounds like a David Bowie remix.

Cosha...you are so "amusing"

You always make me "laugh"

Sometimes you bring tears to my eyes that, in turn, make the area under my eyes "moist"

Concord Dawn is going to be "loud"

Best I take some ear "muffs"

I still want to come and play tho.....Havent busted out a Nero Funk set in a while.
Got some of my own tunes to give a work out on those subz now too.
Watch out for Star trek 'Kirks Victory lap'

It just cracks me up picturing Kirk ordering Mr Sulu to take a victory lap.
Captain Kirk : " MR SULU!,........You...... know what .............to do"

Sulu(incredibly deep asian/american voice) " Any thing you say Captian"

Hopefully something is worked out. Music

Wicked System?

HAhahahahaha!!

LMAO!!!

Oh, you just keep getting funnier dude.

You obviously didn't speak to any of the dozens of people that spent the whole night outside cause the system wasn't only so loud that it would do permanent damage within minutes but it sounded like utter SHITE!!!

Loud doesn't automatically equal good you know.

Totally agree Gopal mate.

More or louder certainly doesn't mean Better.
We had a few peep's head down to our bar due to the fact that it was so loud in there & they commented on the fact that permament ear damage was not their thing.
I have spent month's getting my rig soughted & now we have better quality, louder & definately clearer sound with less gear than we I took over. It was achieved by using quality gear that is well tuned by the right people to suit our venue, this can mean it sounds great either down at a low level earlier in the night or at full volume in the early hours of the morning when the bar is full & more is required.
This has been a long slow process trying different things & was not easily remedied overnight. By adding extra sub's etc to an existing rig for one night on the afternoon prior I find it hard to believe that a god sound engineer would be able to get the acoustic's spot on in this time.
My point is (Kyle if your reading this) get someone in the know in to have a look at your existing rig, you may find that you have more than enough
movement to be able to get it working much better & avoid having to spend extra coin on extra gear when it's not needed.

Hope the gig went well anyway.

thanks for the constructive comments fellas.. yes there way plenty of BASS!

Its interesting to know people left cause it was too loud or bassy!

I see your points tho about tunig it propa.. It wasn't a click rig... it was another company who does large events around hamilton and surrounding areas. It was the 1st time we used them.. and it was their rig only being utilised. We completly bypassed the catalyst system. And it was the 1st time we have used them.. unfortunatley they didnt know too much about eq'ing dance genre music.. they were more live orientated.

which Dan from click sound know quite well IMO.

Anyways...

thanks to all those that came and supported.. See ya geeza's on GOOD FRIDAY 25th March for the Long WEEKEND!
[quote]
I would just like to add that it wasn't the bass that was the problem. There was alot of bass and that wasn't why people left. They left because the high frequencies were so loud, sharp and metallic sounding that it was physically painful to be in the room. (Its the highs that damage your hearing, bass is not capable of damaging the human ear (Lookout kidneys though))

Grover, I've actually heard some of the djs comment that the rig down at Liquid sounds 10 times better. its like you said dude, doesn't need alot of gear, just well setup gear that suits the environment that it needs to perform in.

Unfortunately most live PA hire companies don't know Jack, diddly or squat about getting good sound (live or dance). Thats why its such a shame to not have Dan to call on anymore. His no nonsense, good service and great pricing was a godsend to those that had the pleasure of dealing with him. And I understand the new people at Click dunno which ones are the bass bins and which ones are the horns if ya know what I mean.

I didn't go because I lost some of my hearing from workin behind the bar there for a while....One more Concord Dawn gig and I may never hear the soft buzz of summer crickets again.... Sad

or hear Aaliyah say stuff, and hear pauls gems!!!

well maybe the latter wont phase you that much.....

Mr. Green
[quote]
i think you'll find its the high frequencies bouncing round and reaching your ears more than once, the ole concrete bunker needs alot of dampening which would make it a lot better, even the standard system sounded a bit harsh on the ears last time i went down...all the highs sound like they come from all directions all the time, u cant escape it and the highs overpower the bass even

Needs to be dampened and smoothed out...i remember dan suggesting drapes and material ceiling panels here n there, but i had visions of burgundy velvet or some-thing so Laughing but warming the sound could help that place out quite a bit, may help atmosphere etc???

buggar good systems arent cheap eh...
[quote]
I was there, and yes the highs were a little on the loud side, quite peircing actually.
THe bass was fucken heavy, just the way i like it.

apart from the peicing loudness it was a good night! Evan played a wicked set.

Big ups!

I think the best I ever heard that room was Move 'the Originale' or Motion with the Eon's down the other end of the Dance fla.

The extra spekers helped the sound waves from Clashing in into eachother and bouncing off vibratey thing's.

agree Music Music Music

twas good wasn't it
[quote]
wished the hooks for the eon's were left in the concreter support beams.. so we could do that..

Now the sound engineers have said they wont put anything back in there unless they put in a steel beam for more support!

One day!
