Comedy Fest

Who have you seen? Who are you going to see? I've only been to Stephen K Amos which was just OK, heading to Anil Desai this Friday which I'm looking forward to and would have liked to go see Marcel Lucont (sp).

Work social club is taking us to see Rhys Darby. I have heard mixed reviews but I am looking forward to it.

most NZ comedians suck.

Went and saw Idiots of Ants on the weekend. Quite entertaining ...even more so when your friends in the front row are singled out to be made part of some of the skits.

Went to the classic at the beginning and saw:

Wilson Dixon
Dai Henwood
Jan Godley

and a couple others

NZ has some great comedians I reckon ... the amateurs aren't too flash but the likes of Lovegrove, Jan Maree, Dai Henwood, Irene Pink and even Ewen Gilmore aren't too shabby

Saw Marcel Lucont on Friday night. He was brilliant.

I probably will not go and see anyone .. too unorganised atm.. but will pick up Rhys Darbys book he's funny .. and seems like a choice guy.

Worst Kiwi comedians..that short guy on 7 days can't think of him name.. to me he's not funny at all just irritating... and that asian guy can'tthink of his name either he's kind of fallen out of the scene I think havent seen him on anything in a while..

Dai Henwood and Raybon Kam I think you mean? I've thought Dai is pretty funny when he's doing standup.

Dai's actully got a lot better I thought, he's sorta over himself and doesnt seem to be worried about people taking the piss. I used to really like Darby, but ffs he needs to get some new material! He's still doing the same fucking sound fx jokes.
The fest in general doesnt seem to be tearing it up like it has the past couple of years. Still, we just did an IV with the fest director and it's their 20th year now, so thats a pretty good sign me tinks.

Raybon Kahn has always been a shit comedian, he's more of a social commentator with a comedic twist.
Ben Hurley, Steve Wrigley, Jesse Mulligan, and Jeremy Elwood - they be cunny funts.

I really wanted to go see David O'Dougherty as he's one of my favourites but I completely failed at orgnising anything.
