what does an 'edit' involve exactly?

In short, making the track more suitable for you. Taking out bits you don't like, extending bits you do. Most of the time my focus is to make them more dancefloor friendy. Shorten overly long tracks/breakdowns. Making them more compact and intense. Adding effects. Reformating to suit my mixing style . . . blah, blah. In very short - Editing
