Techno producer Christian Morgenstern has died of apparent heart failure.. Techno producers and fans to mourn the loss.

"Death Christian Morgenstern shocks musicworld
Yesterday morning we learned the very sad news that Christian Morgenstern, born on the 10th of november 1975 in Düsseldorf, Germany, had died 3 days earlier of what apparently seems to be a heart faillure. Christian released his first solo single on Importat Extracts entitled “...minus 38 and counting...”. The “Miscellaneous EP” was released a month later on Kanzleramt records. Besides producing records for labels like Kurbel, Konsequent and Creation Rebel Christian gave birth to his own outlet Forte records in 1999. Bands signed to the label are Codec and Flexor, Dr_Shingo, Maral Salmassi, Matthew Mercer, Moshikop, Ronny Priest and Solar. In a reaction, producer Shok says: "I am very saddened by this loss as he was a creative mind and was motivated enough to have his own label where he was able to release albums of artists in whose music he believed were solid. Often in this line of work, I meet people who are just focused on one thing and are not always friendly or at least genuinely friendly, however I knew he was the real deal. I am sad just thinking about this.. I am hoping that Emperor Norton releases my remixes with proceeds going to Christian's family." From Emperor Norton Records' Kerri C., who was a close friend of Morgenstern, came the following words: "Christian Morgenstern, he was talented. He was kind. He was my friend. I will miss you Christian. Kerri." From Covenant's Joakim we received the following message: "We are big fans of his music and work. We were very proud that he agreed to remix our song "Call the Ships to Port". It's a loss to the progress of electronic music that such a dynamic and inventive artist has left us. May his name live on through all of us who enjoyed and appreciated what he did for us." All of our thoughts go to Christian's family"

Makes ya wonder...... lotsa things but hmmm maybe techno is bad for your heart. Too many BPM's.




Guess its a bit crass of me to joke about this but its unlikely any one who knew him personally will read this.

Amazing producer. Will be sorely missed in the German scene (and over the next few years - the world). Was responsible for the 'Kanzleramt' sound that many of you are playing now from the likes of Johannes Heil, Heiko Laux and Alaxender Kowalski... Always innovating. Would have been making big big waves over the next year with his label kicking into new gears and him being an astute businessman and networker (learnt from the best - Heiko Laux).
