no, I dont mean to offend anyone here but its still mass produced car, and they want supercar prices for it (albeit is one, performance wise)

I know the guy from SDU thats one of the coolest fricken cars in the country.

Comes standard with the Nismo N1 block from factory (N1 block is good for 1000HP+), is the only NUR Spec Skyline in the country (NUR stands for Nurburgring) The dude brought it brand new off Nissan in Japan, had it sent to MINES (one of the top Japanese tuning houses) who macked it out even further and sent it over too him. Now hes changed the turbo's, gone to the 19" deep dish Nismo rims and done a bit more dyno tuning. Awesome, awesome car, the guy has owned all sorts of top European cars and reckons this eats them all.

That is NUR Spec dude, its more of a supercar than a M5 by a long way

yeap ... an M5 is still a 5 series and NUR Skyline is still a skyline ..

both still based on mass produced cars...

it might be worth that to him or anyone else wanting to pay for it but end of the day its in the eye of the beholder.

Like property value, only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

In NZ .. there would be a select few that would pay those sorts of $$$ for a after market car.

Oh it also has in cabin automatic height adjustable suspension, Little gas cyclinders in the strut tops can raise the car up or down to get over curbs and into driveways but you still retain the race spec coilovers.

Whats to stop you buying a normal GTR and doing it up to look and go as fast as this? wouldnt cost $190k for sure.....

GTR's are considered supercars, they are always referred to as supercars on every single car show I've ever seen.

More and more are being sold in America and the UK to guys who can afford to get them there and comply them because they kick ass, are extremly easy to mod and respond extremely well to those mods

That NUR Spec is limited edition only 250 ever made, it will only increase in value, one hell of an investment.

nah probably more, some very cool shit right thur, and its OG NUR spec, will never be quite as cool as a done up one.

Like the add says over $250,000 spent and thats starting with a NUR spec, N1 blocks alone cost thousands .

heh ... cars and the word investment are a rare combination. Hell even top end euros dont gain in price .. (IE enzo) that or wait 50 years.

Im a strong supporter of BMW,M5,M3 etc....but that skyline is farking mean and probably worth every penny.

Actually the car has had closer to $300,000 incl purchase from what I hear, have had a look at the car and sat in it while I was at the drag nats at the start of the year. If there was 1 ultimate car in the country that would have to be it

yeah you have to wait a while...look at the lambourghini muira from the 60's.....they are worth a packet now. Prob got something to do with the fact that most of them have been crashed or fallen apart somehow...

9,000km's aint bad for a car thats only been on the road for about a year. I've only clocked about 7,000km's in nearly 2 years

There's no way that car will retain its value.... it's a skyline, it's going to depreciate like a stone..... sure it's a fantastic car, but it's just not going to hold its value... cars depreciate from when they're new to a base level before they start appreciating again.... the only ones that go the other way are the very, very high-end of the market (think Enzo, McF1 etc).... this will lose $90k in the next few years.... the guy's getting one hell of a car though

Wow so I might be able to afford that car in about 15 years if it depreciates the same rate as the r32

the only reason those cars gain value is cause they are limited edition, just like this skyline

Thing is, the skyline NUR is just a limited edition of the GTR.... and neither is THAT limited... something like the McF1 or the Enzo is completely bespoke.... I could make an entirely faithful NUR replica that's identical in every way to the NUR apart from teh chassis numbers.... for maybe $120k.... cheaper once the base GTR price drops like a stone..... you couldn't do the same with an Enzo... not unless you were handy with the prepreg and had an autoclave in your back yard

The R32s are dirt cheap these days, even the limited editions of them don't make much, but I remember in the early '90s these were gold-dust if you could find them.

Peel back the layers of a NUR and it's still a base model skyline with wide arches and a more powerful engine (simplification I know but it's all based on the same platform)
