Cheap, tiny PC

So are the Asus EEEBoxes the single best small, cheap PC?

I've got a new Logitech Security System that needs windows, and i've got my PC here running it, but its a bit overkill.

As something for playing media on a 1080p panel in my bedroom what you suggest as something small and quiet?

Mac Mini or a EeePC?

I bought a xp home one without a monitor. Works well.

The current one doesn't do 1080p apparently but there is one on the way with a better graphics card that will do so.

If i didnt need Windows i'd get a mac mini for frontrow + itunes. But then i've gone all Mac so it would 'just work' with the rest of my shit...

New to forum comments but ive been looking for a mini pc for a while and checking the forums to see what other people are thinking. I finally took the plunge and bought an eee PC 1000H and I have to say, im excited! So far so good - good battery life, keyboard is a good size unlike some of the others and i can use the built in webcam for chatting. I'll let you know any developments!

Talked to a tame vendor yesterday regarding the eee Box B206, and he's saying probably still a while away before we see it locally, they are unsure how well it will sell being US$100 over the current B202 model.
