Your thoughts on these latest editions? Multiple media platforms were expected, the link feature is nice, I’m keen to see the speed of the load as I’m not overly impressed with the length of time the 400 takes to load up. Needle drop is cool, not sure how much I will use it tho…

Seems like if you aren’t going to use the link function the 900 will be better value for money.

It’s getting too much. Think I might just keep it simple and go back to 100% vinyl.

Thank you Razz

The 2000 is cool but overdone imo, the 900 will do all thats necessary and more. Wouldn't likely use many of the features of the 2000 except needle drop and maybe DVD playback (which is kind of irrelevant anyway with USB sticks being as cheap and user friendly as they are). For the same reason the link feature is irrelevant too really.

DJstore.com in the UK are preselling the 2000 at 1,500 quid and the 900 at 1,100....ouch. Lucky the nz dollar is relatively strong at the moment otherwise I would expect the 2000 to be $3,000 plus per unit.

1100 is pricey for the 900! There was a thread about this in the Lounge and the price diff was something like a grand!

Oh come on. Get with the times, you amish motherfuckers.

Cars are getting a bit silly these days, i might get back to the good ole horse and cart.......

These new cdjs look sick. Native controls for serato and traktor, you can fully mac it up with ableton.....
Aaaaand you can play 4 decks off one hard drive, link those fuckers up, mean!!

If they can do everything they say they can well, and the probably can, they will be sweet!

Yeah I am hearing ya with the Serato / Traktor controls....that is pretty mean. But I can't see any bar/club dropping $12,000 - $16,000 on 3 or 4 CDJ2000's anytime soon, let alone anyone I know so the link feature is a little irrelavent in the short term....

I'm not saying go back to horse and cart...I've got Mk3's lets just say I'm driving an Audi S4 and I'm thinking the RS4 isn't worth the extra money....

Very Happy

Cha-Ching! Gold. Let us know how they go when you manage to have a play.

They are going on sale in usa in nov @ us$2150 rrp

So makes for an expensive item here.

My thoughts on these.

CDJ2000 in many shops in the USA = $1700 (NZ$2,355)*
Same unit in DMC in NZ = $3,499

Difference in price: $1144.

If you bought 2 of them from the USA you'd have enough money left over (after getting them sent) to go to SE Asia for a holiday.

Rrrrrrriiiiiiiippppppppp!

(*Actually, they're going down in price by about $50/month and some places already have them for less than US$1500)

I cant see why they would need 3 or 4 how many djs in aucks are use more than 2 decks at one time?

Dj's will have to take their own CDJ in if they want to use 3 decks. I have to cart in all my gear to clubs. 3CDJs 2 mixers and a 1200! A hassle but so much more fun.
