Do many, or any local drum and bass DJs use CDs? It seems like this is the only way the local scene could get the equivalent of dubplates from local producers or even special versions of big tracks. Since NZ has hardly any pressing plants and is unlikely to get them this is probably CDs are probably the only way to get the freshest tunes played. Would be cool to have that thing where a dj plays something just made that day.

yep most NZ producers do drop in their own cd's.
knowone mixes just Cd's because you wouldn't get the UK latest on CD.
There's nothing wrong with dropping a CD.
