cat owners in Japan

do you think they take their cats for walks?

I think you will be lucky to find any pet cats in japan....and if they do - and they do happen to take them for a walk....they will be walking them to the meat market.

My partner went to japan not long ago for work and he recons the shortage of food there is shocking...he said that if he saw a cat there he himself would have been tempted to eat it. not a nice thought. he was there for 2 weeks and came back skinnier than when he left. he said he lived on corn pottage (warm corn in a can sold in vending machines) and rice wine for those two weeks....and very small expensive burgers from mcdonalds (which is called Donald McDonald there cous the asians cant roll their R's) other than that its all raw fish and noodles.

Japan is one of the wealthiest countries in the world so I dont think there is a shortage of food there..

or did you mean food HE likes?

When i say shortage of food...i mean shortage of meat.

Hehehehe yeah exactly!!! and the fact that he said that he really would have eaten a cat if he got his hands on one really made me believe that there really must be not alot of food for us honkies to eat there.... Its more of a culture shock than anything. Asides from the food thing he loved it, got drunk alot hehe.
