This is her story:

Bona is a two-year-old orphaned elephant who was rescued in March 2011 from a palm-oil plantation, after she was found in a snare with no sign of her mother. Bona had suffered wounds around her neck and trunk as a result of the capture, and while housed at the ECC, sadly is now completely alone. She weighs a tiny 182kg, a result of her not receiving milk from her mother. An elephant of Bona's age would be naturally drinking milk from her mother, and her overall body condition is very poor; she is suffering from malnutrition, has curvature of the spine and is very weak.







I hope at least one person thinks she's as gorgeous as I do..
