Can anyone recommend a good hardhouse CD? I'm looking at expanding my CD collection and could really use some input.

hey nate... next time ur up in Auckland, pop over and have a look thru my collection. Ive got about 200 HH & Trance cds!

Get the Trade 4 CD, it contains THE most legendary HH set ever by Pete Wardman. Its older stuff now but trust me.....its the bible as far as how to structure a set of this kinda music !

You'll prolly recognise lots of the tunes as this CD contains heaps of originals that have all made reappearances as remixes over the last coupla years.

DUDE.. I wouldda said the same thing as Coops! IF ya can track Trade 4 down buy it now. Its worth the $60 odd dollars. Good luck finding it. It took me about a year.

Hahaha.. Coops, I recall you dissing someone for playing 'God of Hellfire' a while back too, but the extended dive bomb mix on Trade 4 kicks ass. Its a white label and I'll never find it, so I have to be content with the Wardman mix.

Its a tripple mixed by Steve Thomas, Pete Wardman and Gonzalos. Gonzalos being quite dark, Wardman quite light. (think hardhouse which is early trance).

Further to that, I say buy ANY trade CD. I've got the Ian M one, which is quite dark, and the latest one which is Sharp Boys and is REALLY FUNKY!

Theres CD info on the following sites:
www.tradeuk.net
www.tinrib.com
www.puregroove.co.uk
www.tidy.com

Sorry if you already know this.. don't wanna be patronising...

Oh, and I have Trade 3, Tony De Vit and Steve Thomas.. good luck finding THAT one.

Go Insane and Whiplash by some German DJ's Smile

Vinyl Cover has a baby with a pacifier cannot remember the dj's names as its at home at the moment
[quote]
Baby Doll Records? Mr Bishi? Mark Kavanagh?... errr
[quote]
Mark Kavanagh it will most likely be. If you are talking older cds, then i suggest you get Tony De Vit live in Tel Aviv (global underground). I still say that this is one of the best hard house mixes ever, especially the last half of the mix.

Can be downloaded from audiogalaxy, by the way.

GU01.. mmm.. Don't forget TDV Live in Tokyoeither.. thats GU something or other.

(You see a pattern?)

Me ? dissing some one for not being old skool enuff to have the divebombmix & having to play the Phlash mix off Hot Potato instead ?

Doesn't sound like something I'd do Wink
[quote]
Dude if you have the extended divebomb mix you could turn it into ALOT of money on my next pay day.

IF its the extended divebomb mix I'd pay the right ammount for it. Name your price

And everyone else. Thanks heaps

music stores here in hamilton seem to have fuck all
hardhouse. theres lots of trance, techno, and all the other forms of house. but stuff all hard house.
is it like that in auckland?
[quote]
NateDogg, Yup, I don't buy many CD's from sounds at all. Not a huge amount I like in terms of Hardhouse.. If you go to shops that arn't chain stores you can pick up some good uns.

I forgot I got the Tasty CD which is a HoneyPot label release. Its mixed by Jon Doe and Billy Bunter and its quite good also. Its fairly recent so its got recent songs on it.. You won't find it at sounds I don't think.

In Auckland Real Groovy abd Central station have a good range of CD's. Good luck!
